I'm excited about Romo's post QB career

It'll be very interesting to see if he becomes a coach or a commentator.

The way he breaks down football is vastly more interesting than most of the guys we see talking football, but don't really seem to be x and o guys.

Romo has the smarts and personality for either commentary or for coaching.

I know he has mentioned wanting to coach after he is done, but personally I'd prefer his presence in the media. It sucks that we only have a couple guys out there representing the star. Aikman and Moose are probably the best we have. Woodson is actually really good, but completely underutilized. Irvin is just a homer, but I appreciate his homerism. Deion doesn't count, Keyshawn obviously doesn't count. Marcellus Wiley doesn't count obviously.

I think Witten and Romo both will have this somewhere in their future.

Sometimes I feel like he gives away a little too much information in his pressers, x's and o's wise lol.

There's enough ex players in the media. It's getting annoying IMO.

I respect the guys who ride away into the sunset a little more.

He has the personality to be very good TV guy. Like you said, he knows his X's and O's and he can articulate it very well. He is also funny at times with his wise cracks.

Out of those guys, Marcellus is probably my favorite, but I agree he isn't a Cowboy.

I think Romo's ability to do X's and O's sometimes gets him in trouble. Quite a few of his interceptions over the years have happened because he thinks he knows what's going on pre-snap and assumes it will stay that way when the pressure comes. Then he throws it without looking. I hypothesize that this is why that underneath defender that drifts back after the snap seems to get a large percentage of Romo's picks.

His breakdown of the intentional grounding on the NFL Network was fascinating. For what looked like such a nondescript bonehead play the things that went into it were pretty complex. It all had to do with Dez and the pre-snap read. Dez was right on his read, Tony wasn't but as he said he wanted to be "'safe."

He has made too much money to be a coach. There is a simple reason the big name players that made lots of money don't coach. NFL coaches work 15-18 hours a day 7 days a week for 8-9 months. No one with the kind of money Romo has made will sign up for that. It's the players that don't quite make it or make backup money their whole career that go into coaching so they can use their football knowledge to finally make good money. The big money guys sign up for the TV gigs where they work one day a week and have the rest to enjoy their money.

If Tony wants to work on TV post Cowboy career he needs to update his wardrobe AND makes sure it fits.

I've always been amazed that someone with so much money and such a huge role in the spotlight could be so horribly dressed.

I hope he takes a shot at the PGA and plays golf with his cap on backwards just to piss a lot of people off.
I think he'll golf just because he likes to compete and the other two roles would probably bore him.

Having said that, I bet he would be an outstanding QB coach.

He has a dreamy smile with those dimples...heart all a flutter.

I just wished he would either commit to shaving or commit to letting the beard grow out...that in between look irritates me.

Even with how boring Romo's pressers can be, the amount of crazy detail he goes into when describing how a play happened is fascinating.

Watch him finally win the "big one" in his career, but it happens on the PGA. Lol that would be something, though i'd much rather see him win one here.

If I had to take a guess today outside of charity and pro-am golf and occasional Cowboys games I don't think you will see much of Romo
