It's so ridiculous that because of losing Murray that it's going to cause the Cowboys to be an average football team. He's good but the Cowboys are a better team this year without him.

Murray's LONGEST run last year was 32 yards. No home-run threat what so ever in his best year. Randle ran one for over 60 yards and will do so consistently with our OL.

Randle had that 38 yarder against the Seahawks. He ran tough that game.

Randle definitely has some "big play ability" that's underrated.

I'm also really interested to see what McFadden can do if he can get stay healthy and get into a groove with our ZBS. The dude has wheels. There were quite a few times where if Murray just had a little more pep in his step, he could have had some really big plays.

????? My fellow Cowboys fans? lol..... I call it like I see it not here to appease fans who seldom agree on anything. lol

I think Dallas can win I expect them to win the East and challenge for a title, I see a lot about this team I like. If there is one area that I am concerned with it is RB. I hope to see Randle and McFadden do great

Very clever, but quoting me did not trick me into reading your drivel.

To me it is not the big play it is the consistent play it is picking up the needed yards when they know it is coming. Hell Julius Jones could hit a big play but was never consistent in his play.
Randle and McFadden will get a chance to show they can be consistent guy who you can lean on especially late in games with a small lead and you are trying to milk that clock for every second you can.

I don't care what you read, I give my own views not here to be your rah rah buddy. I have concerns about the running game if you don't great I'm glad but being a Cowboy fan does not mean you have to believe all is well and no concerns. God forbid if you think for yourself that you will get called out for it.

I see what you're saying, but Randle has already proven that. A solid amount of his carries last year were against 8 man fronts, and he averaged almost 7 yards a carry.

I see "tough yards" brought up a lot, and I don't think many of those people realize that Randle performed fine against 8 man boxes, which is probably going to be the "toughest" thing he's going to see.

The only question I have is durability since it's a relative unknown at this point. He's proven he can run against 8 man boxes, but can he do it for 150-200 carries?

Man I have been a fan long than many here have been alive. lol I sat and watched the Ice Bowl live, I suffered through the days of wait till next year and the Cowboys were called the lovable losers and then saw them beat the Dolphins to get that monkey off their back. I have missed 1 game in all those year. I am hard to the core Cowboys. I'm also a big fan of football and never afraid to say where I feel there may be a weakness but as a fan I hope we over come that weakness. I see McFadden a guy who showed great talent coming out of Ark. my hope is a change of teams can spark him to be the back he showed entering the NFL. With Randle I saw a lot of him at OSU, I think he has some capabilities that can help the Cowboys but I also think he has to now show he can bring it consistently. Now a play here or there but down in and down out week in and week out.

A lot of his carries came as defense had already been pounded on. He avg 3 carries a game. I do agree he has to show he can handle the ball around 200 carries on the season and when he is not running he must keep his head in the game and be able to take on blitzers and keep them off of Romo. I'm not anti Randle or McFadden what so ever but yes there is concern because up to this point they have not done it. With Murray I saw a lot of him at OU and felt very comfortable with him but he also had to go out and prove himself and did when he was given the opportunity.

People can question my views, heck I have nothing against debate, that is why I come here. As for being a fan, I'm about as hardcore as they come. To this day I will not turn the channel or leave the stadiums regardless of the score until the clock goes down to 00:00. I have sat and endured some of the biggest but kickings this team has taken but those are my Boys I will stay there as long as they are out on that field. But again being a fan does not mean you must feel all is right and there is no concerns.

I hear you, bro. At least you know the difference between the term team and don't lay it all on Romo like a troll does.

It really irks me how many so called experts keep talking about how our running game is going to sputter with the "all world" Murray toting the rock in Philly. Im going to very much enjoy watching Randle storm through the monster holes this line provided for Murray last year. We will see bigger plays out of Randle. And certainly McFadden will have some big plays with his speed.

We may miss the physical element of Murray, but I truly believe our Oline will now take on that role and provide everything we need for a nasty running game.

Lets see how many of these cats fess up a quarter of the way through the season as our committee running back tandem is tearing it up every week.

Agreed

The odds against Murray coming close this year to last years production are very long indeed. Even HOF Running backs did not stack up 1800 yard seasons back to back very often. Less than a handful of times in the history of the NFL, all by backs a lot better than Murray.

He had a career year; that was all. Like Jamal Lewis I bet.

I am sick of the Murray talk but I will chime in.

Murray was an essential piece to the puzzle last season but this team is not built to pay any running back at this stage. The team WILL be fine without him, we may not run the ball as well(I think we will) but I would take less yards if it meant less fumbles. We would of have had home field advantage without the timing of his fumbles and we very well would have been in the NFCCG. Murray added some different aspects to his game last year to make him more successful but he also became turnover prone and you will not win a superbowl with a fumbler at running back.

if he can stay out of trouble. His hx indicates he needs to grow up & take advantage of his opportunity.

I hope he does. Because this McFadden addition does nothing for me.

Lets get through preseason before any crow eating, Murray was a stud. It is actually what I fear the most right now outside of Ro missing 4 games.
