I am finding myself getting too caught up into the Boys again. I know this because of how I feel right now.

All they are is my favorite sports team, they do not do a thing for me.

This was another total team and organization loss. Everybody is to blame.
We have a very good defense and offense, we should not be afraid to get into shootouts if that is what it takes to win games. We should not be afraidn to gamble if that is what it takes.
This conservative approach is played out. Yes run the ball and play ball control, when you have the game won for sure.

But save all that for the post season games.
Parcells and Payton, should have pulled Bledsoe to the side, " and said look you are being greedy, Key was open for a first down, but you went for greed to get it to Glenn.

Those guys was rolling their coverage to Glenn all game, he always had 2 men watching and covering him.

Witten , Key, and Price were singled up and could have won all day, as well as the RBs. We can be aggressive by completing 5yds to 10 yd completions and kept the chains moving all day. The running game was working fine, Barber as I have said all along is a very good RB, he is very polished, and well rounded, he can be a feature back also.

Winning on the underneath pass routes would have made them change their scheme and then we could have hit them over the top for big yardage. It was evident that they were not going to let Glenn beat them deep.

Our defense had them in check all day, I believe they may have started to get tired at the end, as both defenses may have been, but we got into this lull and our coaches did not try to snap us out of it.

Holmgren snapped his team out of that lull at the end with the change of pace on offense, but we just kept plugging along.

You cannot always leave it to the defense, sometimes the best defense is offense.

We have a very good Defense, and if our offense had started clicking with some intensity, it would have made our defense play with even more energy and WARE would have his streak intact.

Man, I cannot stand this conservative play. Aggressiveness can and could have helped the play of our young Tackles, inspiring them to play at a higher level, get them in a groove, momentum to carry on into future games.

Dead on. Bledsoe should have been more than pulled aside. He should have been told right there in front of the whole team he cost us a possession by not taking that first down, and instead forcing it down field. He wants to be the leader of the team, fine but when he makes stupid decisions he should face the wrath like everyone else. I still have high hopes for Bledose, he's played excellent up until today, but some of those sacks were his fault, too for not doing what you said.

I feel your pain. Sometimes I just don't feel like following the Cowboys and not caring because when they lose, it hurts too damn much. I don't know why, but I've felt it ever since the '81 NFC championship game that featured "the Catch."

This conservative bull **** has to go.

Excellent post.

Bledsoe has been 'retaught' to make his reads bottom up. Yet he still apparently ignores Jason and overexposes Terry.

That is something Bill needs to address in the bye week, imo, if not sooner.

I love seeing T amass yardage, but come on, when he is as covered as he was today, throw to another guy!!!

You know this was the first week Bledsoe seemed to revert to the Bledsoe that the league knows. The guy looking for the big play and ending up costing his team instead.

One of the announcers said he had 200 tickets for family and friends there. Think that might have had something to do with it?

I don't know, Junk, but it sure was Ye Drew of Olde.

Winicki must have been on life support.

Excellent post. I thought my brother and me were the only ones who cried rivers of tears after that '81 NFC Championship lost. I know it's been over 13 years ago, but I STILL hate watching film of "the catch" play. I wanted to beat the 49ers sooooo bad after the drilling they gave us earlier in the season - a 45-14 loss at the 'stick. That game was a defining moment for both teams. Although we would go on to the NFC Championship the following season, it really began to mark the decline for us and greatness for the whiners.

The Cowboys are a work in progress. If you step back and look at the big picture you could have won every game this year. Your "D" just shut down one of the top "O"s in the league. If Cortez makes that chip shot you run the clock out and win that game. Don't let a single game fool you. This is a team on the way up and there will be bumps in the road.

The NFC east is well on it's way to being one of the best in the NFL. A year or two from now noone will doubt they are the best. The one thing that really irks me is the 4 division NFC with only 2 wild cards. This system will really hurt NFC east teams this year and in the near future. It is quite possible that we will have a team or two at 9-7 to 10-6 and not make the playoffs while an 8-8 or 7-9 Bears team wins the NFC north and gets in.

Not by me LTN.

Great post and observations.

And Tommy yours as well. The Beast is Back. The stinkin' NFCN is going to stumble in a team with an inferior record and schedule.

79, 80, 81, 82 all those hurt bad. That damn tipped Billy Waddy pass in Staubach's last game, and all the conference championship losses. I agree though, 81 was the most painful.

Very good post. For trying to care less you sure put a lot into it. I can't think of anything to dispute. If Bledsoe can't be reprogrammed let's start the Romo era. He has no problem at all working from the shorter routes out. Parcells was singing his praises this week.

The Cowboys are like the girlfriend that cheated on you when you was really starting to fall in love, but then she begged you not to leave, then everything seemed ok, then you found her cheating again with some ugly dude, but you still don't want to break up with her because you are in love, but feel like you need to pull back your emotions a little bit to avoid future heartbreaks...

True true. and Thanks

Right now, I do not know what to do honestly. I would go running but we have a little cold front and I do not feel like being in that cold, but may be it will help.

I'm with you man. I was so distraught I went and cleaned my wood shop. I figured I'd get over the mad with a lot of sweat. It didn't work.
