I'm happy with our safety situation.

Is it perfect? No, but it's a heck of a lot better than Alan Ball and Pat Watkins. Both of our young safety's, Barry Church and J.J Wilcox have flashed upside, and have tons of potential. They've played alright, maybe not great but neither was expected to. They've shown that they are both NFL starting quality safety's, this is something that we've lacked for a long, long time.

I like Church, but Wilcox just isn't ready yet. I think he will be eventually.

They're mostly struggling because the DL is getting zero pressure. That will make any Safety look bad.

A bag full of crap is better than a handful but I would prefer to have none. Your reasoning that your happy with the safeties are because they are better than bad players make no sense. Church is slow and can not cover. Heath is terrible and runs 20 yards back every snap. Wilcox flashes potential and needs some time but none are playing well enough for you to be happy. Sorry but they have been terrible.

Well, rather have two players that have potential in Church and Wilcox than Alan Ball, Pat Watkins and [insert garbage S here].

Agreed on the DL but on some plays the safeties were out of position or had chances to make plays but didn't make plays on the ball. How many times do we need to see a WR run a curl route and sit between the safeties for 3 seconds wide open. Go cover the guy.

Try it from a different angle R2A. Instead of being happy with them, say it isn't the #1 priority on defense right now. Other units are much worse than the safeties.

Church should be a linebacker. He is like fat Roy reincarnated back there without the headshots. That type of player is extinct. They are both not NFL quality and key contributors to the worst defense in franchise history. See ya.

Church has no potential any more. He had been in the league and on his second contract. He is as good as he will every be. Wilcox yes he has potential but so did Ball and Watkins their rookie year.

Church is great in the box, one of the better tacklers in the league, but other than that our safeties are a disaster.
