Okay, so we get to the Super Bowl, and across the line is the New England Cheatriots, who wins?

Does the NFL want a team convicted of blatantly cheating to win the Super Bowl?

I don't think so.

So - do we (if we can get there, like the Chicago Bears got Sunday night) get the "right" calls?

I think I am starting to feel like Mel Gibson in "Conspiracy Theroy". But what do you think? Could it happen?

Sorry, I lived thru the Benny Barnes "interferece" on Lynn Swann in Super Bowl 13 and the Dave Manders "I've got the ball" in Super Bowl 5.

On a side note, I fully believed that Billy Joe Dupree got to the 6 yard line in the 1976 playoffs versus the LA Rams. D#mn no instant replay!!!

So is all we have to do is win the NFC? Just asking??

Signed,
Whatever Mel Gibson's character was named in that movie

P.S. Julia Roberts looked goooooood!!!

Right now, the Patriots will be hard to beat. IMO it will take a super defense to take away that Brady cool. That means to do this we need the defense to finaly grasp all the nuances Wade and Brian Stewart are teaching them and be firing on all cylinders.

Don't forget, the Patriots are not going to have an easy jaunt though. The AFC is flat out tough. Pittsburgh, Indy, even San Diego could still rise up and get them on a given day.

Dallas reaching #6 would be the absolute best story for the NFL this year and I don't say that as a Cowboys fan, I say it as someone who pays attention to marketing and ratings.

I think the officiating would go the other way for 3 reasons:

1. The zebras have always screwed Dallas
2. The zebras have always given the Cheatriots every break in the book
3. The NFL would definitely WANT the Cheats to win the SB so they could say "See, that little incident we experienced had absolutely no bearing on the game. They only won in the past because they were superior to everyone else".

BTW, you're jumping the gun.

I guess, since my IQ is 142 and that I'm smarter than you, and you have no idea what is "politicaly correct."

I don't mean that in a bad way, but I'm just sayin'.

Every party has a pooper and you're it - it was a joke, Mr. Brain.

Calls or not, much as I would like to be in the Super Bowl, I can't think of a team I'd like to see less in the game.

It'd be cool, and I was only half serious. To be the best, I'd like to beat the best. But I don't know what is more painful...not making the superbowl, or making it and losing.

I hear ya and understand where you are coming from.... but... we do a few things by beating the Pats

1. We end their SB victory streak
2. We automatically get more accolades than they ever did
3. People will question ALOT about them. Was their title run strong? was it luck? Cheating? Dallas goes and win decisively...etc...

I'm sorry for this paranoid thread, Miller Lite is quite good! However, I expected a few of you old farts to get the greatest injustest in Cowboy playoff history to make some refernce to Billy Joe Dupree.

Life is not fair and so are officials.

And thus my post.

You would, but your sanity hasn't been intact for some time now... ;)
