This was a very poorly played game by the Cowboys, but at 3-3 I am not throwing in the towel. I am very upset with the way the Cowboys played but there is reason for hope. Romo showed some flashes. TO gave a few sparks. Take away the turnovers,(three of the ints. caused the game to swing about 28 points) a ref knocking down Roy Williams, a bad reversal of a good call, and a TO drop, and we are in the game even playing as poorly as we did.

I'll vent and stay mad today :banghead: but starting Wednesday I'm getting ready for the Panthers.

:welcome: I personally am quite okay this morning. I'm not mad at all. I would say that I'm relieved that we are finally getting on with the QB situation. 2 things will come from this. Either Romo tears it up and we have our QB of the future, or we go into 2007 thinking draft a QB.

With ya 100%. I'm mad we lost but glad that we are going to see what Romo has to offer. I'm not going to judge him by the 3 picks. Heck, Grossman threw more against the Cards for crying out loud! Get him a full week of 1st team reps and let's see what happens at Carolina. It's a long season. Let's win 7 of these last 10 and see where it takes us.

What is evident is that Romo energizes this offense and makes it more quick strike dangerous. Players like Witten have come out of a coma and are being productive again. Romo is young and inexperienced but has a lot of quarterbacking ability. Behind this dysfunctional Oline he gives us the best opportunity to put points on the board.

In some regard I really felt bad to see Bledsoe a once great quarterback being benched. My respect for Bledsoe increased just in the way he handled it on the sidelines. And when Romo threw the picks he didn't even have a self righteous smirk on his face.

That stated the upside with Romo is greater as compared with Bledsoe at this juncture of his career. Bledsoe is older and slower and struggles more behind an inconsistent and flawed line than when he was at his peak.

I hope Parcells gives Romo a few more opportunties to start. To be honest I am more disappointed in Parcells and this offensive coaching staff than I am with either quarterback. You can't gamble with over the hill veterans and long shots when tinkering with the foundation of an offense.

What is surprising to myself is that I am more optimistic about this offense now, despite Romo's rocky start. For brief spurts this offense looked all world and had the Giants on their heels despite its crappy porous Oline.

To be fair, it took Grossman four quarters, not two, to throw his...
