I'm not predicting it, but let's not go crazy if we lose

I know how everyone likes to think that we're on a roll, and how we've found our groove again. I for one think that as well, and when we're on we're as good as any team in the league.

However, Green Bay is 4-4, coming off a lose to a winless team, and another loss likely puts them out of playoff contention, or at least makes it a very steep battle. Needless to say, their backs are against the wall. We're going to get their best shot.

I'm not saying we're going to lose, but all I'm saying is let's not meltdown and go crazy if we do lose. They have a good defense, they can score, and it will be a tough test.

That being said if we play how we're capable of playing with minimal mistakes, we win by 14.

I agree. Having said that yes I fully expect the Cowboys to go out and win that game however winning is not going to put us in the playoffs and losing is not going to knock us out. I do think it is a game where Dallas will have a chance to put a little distance between ourselves and some other teams especially if SD beats Philly this weekend and of course the Giants having this week off we have a chance to go 2 games up on both teams.

we need games like this as 'insurance' in case we lose to a good team down the road
think back to last year and if we had beaten the lowly Rams like we should have, we could have had the excuse of losing 44-6 to the Eagles that there was nothing on the line and we did not want to risk injury...instead look at what we had to live with all these months until last Sunday

I agree. Packers are a desperate team right now, backed in to a corner. They will definitely be up for the Cowboys. Expecting us to win, won't shatter me if we get upset.

The over-reacting goes on after a win or a loss:

If we win, everybody on the team should make the Pro Bowl and people start making Super Bowl plans.

When we lose, everybody sucks and should be benched or cut and the entire coaching staff should be fired.

Being the passionate fans we are, I guess we're all guilty of the knee-jerk reactions sometimes.:laugh2:

anyone that thinks they won't come out sky high is nuts: if we are within 7 at the half I'll be happy, but I really see Gbay HAVING to win this. We'd like to....but hey everyone knows this team doesn't deal with success well..hasn't for a long time. This is a litmus test IMO....see if we are mature enough to handle it.....50/50 IMO

I actually think people would handle a loss fairly well. Maybe I'm just being naive though.

The team does seem like they're on the right track though, so even if they do lose, it won't ruin the season. I think a lot of people feel this way too, so they wouldn't panic over a loss. They would just be 6-3 and still in position to make the playoffs.

I expect them to be 7-2 though.

You're still kinda new. There is a complete meltdown by insane fans if we give up a TD let alone loose a game. It is so bad the have banned new posts for hours after the game.

that is a major problem with many fans, the next game is always the "test". I would have thought winning Philadelphia was test enough but nope, someone will always say the next game is.

Hell, I bet if we won a SB, someone would say the first game of the next seaosn is the real test to see if we can sustain success.
