First of all, I'll watch and root for the Cowboys.........next year and always, but I'm really not sure how this team will respond.......the Giants really may have driven a stake to to the confidence of this team......Maybe it would be better said.....We did it to ourselves!!!....This issues are:

-No matter how well Dallas plays in the regular season next year, what will it really mean? I could be convinced Dallas would be better off as a wild card next year w/out all the attention to another potential choke job for 2 weeks.
-I really thought Romo did fine today, except for a couple mental errors in the 4th......but what happens to his confidence after Crayton let him down, or his O-line let him down (i.e. L. Davis foul, offsides, etc).
-The NFC East isn't going to get easier and Dallas has lost its last THREE divisional games. The Giants are going to be good....The Eagles will be much better and Washington will be much healthier (we'll see what happens w/ their coach).
-1st place schedule.
-The coaching staff is going to be raided, especially w/ the early exit.
-The scouting dept has already been raided........JJ needs to make a hire.

I could go on........I really enjoy the draft, FA....the entire offseason really. Last years loss hurt, but I got over it quick and couldn't wait for Dallas to start filling holes and getting ready to make a run.

But this loss is a killer.....even a loss next week would still have allowed the team to experience enough success to build confidence. This organization is no longer about building.....its about winning...its time to perform when it matters.....Its time to win a freekin playoff game......its been 11 years for the organization.....that is ridiculous and, yes, I am a frustrated fan.....

PS, just because I'm not sold, doesn't mean I say give up....but I am very concerned

Cheer up, we're going to have a draft, Jerry will get a couple of free-agents, and we'll be right back in the playoffs again next year. The Super Bowl wouldn't be such a huge prize if it was easy to get there.

If the defense doesn't employ 3 new starters (minimum) we'll have a 2007 all over again. Win in the reg season, 1st round exit.

We don't have much cap room left.....this is essentially the team for a while, net of a couple defections.........I do think Dallas may NEED to go got Roy Williams...

The Gints scored 21..........the league is about offense now and 21 shouldn't have been good enough today.......I'd love to replace Roy Williams, but I don't think it can be done realistically and find an adquate replacement due to cap issues......The one guy that has to go is Reeves....though not starter, his impact on the game (for the other team) is huge...

Because the NFL changes so much from one year to the next, I'm not sure that having a tough schedule as defined by 2007 matters. Especially because I believe the NFC East plays 14 common opponents, and it's only two games that are decided by your record . . . I could be wrong about that though.

What I can't decide is........should Dallas just go for it and structure contracts for cap hell in the future, or continue to stay the course....are there too many holes???
