I'm not sure I've liked Lee's play in the 43 so far

Especially Monte's. The deep drops they ask of these guys. I kind of like him around the line or within 10 yds. Maybe he's still learning, but the 34, so far anyway seemed to fit him better.

Just an observation on my part. I hope he proves me wrong.

I know it's early, but we do stupid things. We made this switch back to the 4-3 a year after we devoted basically our entire draft to drafting Morris Claiborne. Now, he may not be a good fit in a 4-3. Sean Lee, oft-injured but a proven star in the 3-4, was just given a massive long-term extension. A few weeks later, it's starting to look like he might not be the same player in the 4-3. We could've at least waited half the season to see if 1) he's gonna stay healthy, and 2) he's the same player in the 4-3.

I might agree, although I wouldn't mind seeing Holloman playing occasional 3rd downs for Durant. We need plays. After seeing Carter sack Smith, I honestly saw the 4 on his jersey and thought it was Demarcus! He looked real fast and explosive on that play. 2 sacks now correct?

He is still learning the ropes. They are still very poor when they drop into their zones. Lee is going to have to play a little differently. He likes to watch the QB's eyes and attack. In this defense that can leave gaping holes in the zones. He will figure it out. Anyone who thought this team would be playing this defense at a high level this season was probably not thinking that through. Next year we will see a huge leap. I did think all along, however, that Carter would be the one who would really explode in this D. He is less reactionary, like Lee and more instinctual.

I believe once the dline settles in and the guys get used to dropping into their zones, Lee will have massive tackle numbers.

I don't know how anyone could point out Durant looking good though. He made some plays because he was out of position almost the entire game. Lee gets lost in the bodies attacking the LOS. Durant gets lost in space. That's very bad for this scheme.

I honestly dont have anything bad to say about the defense. I wish carter held on to that pick, but i thought they all played well. They gave up 17 points and held them to that field goal that kept us alive.

The defense played great. The chiefs had great field position many times in the time, but we didn't let them score touchdowns... we even knocked them out of field goal range with the Carter sack.

I cant keep up with all the players that suck now. We make such and such change and this player sucks, we go this route and this player sucks. And than anytime a player is cut from another team we have to bring him in because hes better than what we got now. Whos with me, CUT Ware Now before he sucks too, unless he already is a horrible player. Idk anymore.

To go along with that you said though, Ware needs to pick it up a little. He is far from sucking, but he seems to be spending a lot of time playing prevent the run. He goes into a power move with the LT and if/when he gets stoned, he stands there and watches. I have yet to see him use a speed move or finesse move this season. Dunno what the deal is.

With that said, I think he'll figure it out and put up some good numbers. No panic or thinking he sucks. Haha

Oh get over it. Nobody has said Lee sucks. Geez. It was just an observation. I remember a ton of posters saying Lee and Carter were going to be lights out. It's just taking a little longer. We need these two if we want to get where we want to go.

Right now the defense is the best part of this team.....but it is unfortunate that we drafted players for one scheme and then changed to another...it can't be easy for the players, so the transition will take time. But having said that the transition needs to be succesful this year or else next year we could be playing yet another type of defense.
