I just thought I would share. A big game, by the way, would be a couple of catches for about 30 yards, maybe a TD. Just something - he looked really good in preseason, and teams have figured out that Romo likes to go to Witten. Why not use our other TE?

Considering he's had 4 catches for 31 yds and NO TDs, ya 2 catches and a TD would be huge.

That would be a great tactic if the youngsters could handle it....

Belichick and team prepares for our weapons and we blast them with our relatively unknown players.... a page out of the Cheatriots book :D

I can wait on Stanback. Fasano has been here for what, 3 years now? Time to do something for us.

I expected Stanback to make an appearance somtime in October so why not now. I also expect Hoyte to come back and help the running game in the 1st half.

Cause we're going against the best team in the league. Now is not the time to experiment with a guy that was playing QB a few months ago.

Once again, if he's ready to contribute then get him involved in the offense.

That's the thing, he's not ready.

This is his second season. He is a bust. :D

I was not enamored with the Fason pick, however I was willing to see how he developed. Not many second TEs put up substantial numbers especially when you have TO and Witten out there and Glenn last season. I was expecting just a little more out of him than he has provided based on things Parcells said last year. Not a lot, but just a little something.

I'd like to see him on kickoff returns though. We are getting nothing in the return game. Thompson seems timid this year and Austin hasn't had to many opportunities. I think Tyson was leading the league last year when he got hurt. Maybe Stanback can provide a spark for us.

I think we better have all experience hands on deck for this one. Not the time to start trying new players who is changing positions. Besides, if he gets activated, who do you sit?

Who was inactive this last game?

Edit:

# Inactives for the Cowboys included safeties Courtney Brown (biceps) and Keith Davis (shoulder); cornerback Anthony Henry (ankle); fullback Oliver Hoyte; wide receiver Terry Glenn (knee); and offensive linemen Joe Berger, Doug Free and James Marten.

When Davis and Henry come back, Stanback will probably be inactive again. Who will join him when that happens and also once Glenn comes back?

And Jones and Barber on swing passes. The best place to exploit the Pats are their linebackers.

  • Junior Seau = 38 - OLD: Only plays on his football smarts now.
  • Teddy Bruschi = 34 - OLD: Had a mild stroke in early 2005
  • Mike Vrabel = 32 - Getting OLD: Is an ok player and is Belicheat's hitman.
  • Adalius Thomas = 30 - Is in his late prime: Is by far their best LBer, but force him into coverage and Witten is big and fast enough to beat him. (Urlacher is a better coverage LBer and Witten beat him several times)

The biggest issue I see when Thomas and Seymour are both rushing the QB.

Tyson Thompson will go over to Austins side and take the kickoffs from him.

Austin is just as good if not better at returning. It really messes up the flow of the return when one guy is running across the field to get the KO.

Is Seymour going to be back for this game?

Tyson is the primary returner. That is his job and part of that hob is returning everything he can get his hands on. He needs to do a better job of making Austin aware that he is in position to return it so Austin can go and block. There have been some break downs in that.
