Stop patting Hostile's back! His head is already to big for his body. He's nothing but a FAN!
A cool *** fan.

Well, don't hold your breath on those two... They seem to get far more enjoyment (and likes) from bad play in Dallas than they do when Dallas looks like one of the best teams in the NFL.
Odd, that...
Sure would be nice to know which two you are talking about.

lol.. Drama. Love that RMcClain pic though Asthma. I might have to steal it.
I tend to think Jason has the ability to work with Jerry and Jerry has a respect for Jason. I still find it intriguing that BP talks about working for Jerry as very enjoyable, he liked and still like Jerry a lot. I tend to believe what BP said when he made the comment people have the wrong impression of Jerry Jones.
I am not quite ready to eat crow just yet, although I am getting close to warming up the grill. Garrett has made too many mistakes the past three years for me to just completely disregard them. I will buy in completely when and if we have success in the playoffs.
There are 2 posters that should be eating more crow in regards to the Cowboys than anybody else; however, one has dissappeared and the other just keeps making jokes about Marinelli and his nicknames for players.

It isn't the negativity. Thanks all for the kind words. No Garrett fatheads, but that was damned funny.I would imagine it's been the venting and negativity that's kept him away. The improved mood from the Cowboys early season success has brought back several who haven't posted much lately.
I've been a Garrett hater.
I think I'm fully ready to eat my crow dinner in regards to Garrett. He may still have some hiccups in the future, but there is no denying what he has done to finally right this ship in Dallas.
I know many only want to credit Linehan and Marinelli and say they are the sole reason for this shift in our fortunes - but through articles and interviews it really does appear that the overall scheme of what our team has become rests on the red-headed one. And THAT will remain even if we lost Linehan or Marinelli next year. I definitely think we stick to the heavy running plan from now on regardless of who calls plays. It's proven that it works. And Garrett is ultimately responsible for implementing this run-heavy strategy, whether it was pro-active or just getting out of the way of others to do so - he did good.
Others probably want to wait till the end of the season to prove we don't collapse again. I'm not scared of this as our team is full of fighters who don't quit, thanks to Red's RKG strategy. Only multiple devastating injuries will allow us to completely collapse again I believe. Now tis may happen as it has for several years now. But even if it did, it would be no fault of Garrett.
So I'm ready for Jerry to extend Garrett whenever he is ready to. Garrett has almost completed his on-the-job training phase and is now only going to keep getting better and better as a HC. I'm all for that.
Definitely!!
This probably won't come as a surprise (or perhaps it will..). I'm now ready to bury my G.R.O.G. hatchet and submit to the fact that longevity has served Garrett well. He's growing on me. Pass the hot sauce.
Me too, the crow. Last season i was a Garret guy. Not the first game of this season. But now i am back with JG.
Fans should be allowed such swaying in loyalty, I belief.
Recipee for quality crow:
Ingredients
add to shopping list
- 1 frying crow, weighing no more than 3 pounds, skinned and cut up for frying
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bay leaf, crumbled if dried, chopped if fresh
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon dried 6 juniper berries, crushed
- 6 coriander seeds, crushed
- Black pepper
- Salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Olive or peanut oil (or a combination), for frying
- Parsley or fresh oregano sprigs and 1 1emon cut into wedges, for garnish
Preparation
One: Wash the bird and pat dry. Put them in a large non-reactive glass or stainless steel bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, wine, garlic, onion, bay leaf, oregano, juniper berries, coriander seeds, and a few liberal grindings of pepper. Whisk until well-mixed and pour over the chicken, fuming the bird until it is uniformly coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate, marinating for 2 hours or overnight.
Two: Drain the bird, pat dry, and sprinkle liberally with salt. Spread the flour on a plate or place it in a paper or large Zip-lock plastic bag. Fill a large cast-iron skillet with enough olive or peanut oil (or combination of both) to come halfway up the sides, about 1 inch deep. Over medium-high heat, bring the oil to 375°F (hot but not smoking).
Three: Beginning with the dark meat roll the bird in the flour or drop it a few pieces at a time into the bag of flour, close the top, and shake until it is coated. Shake off the excess flour and slip the bird into the hot fat
Four: Fry until the bottom is sealed and beginning to color, about 4 minutes. Turn, and brown the second side. Reduce the heat to medium (325°F) and fry, turning once, until the bird is cooked through and golden, about 15 minutes more.
Lift the bird from the fat and drain well on a wire rack. Transfer to a platter and garnish with the sprigs of herb and lemon wedges and serve at once.
Yes. Thanks for recognizing that. I have defended this team and certain players to the hilt. I wouldn't be true to myself though if I didn't acknowledge that I have had a burning dislike for Garrett over the last several years. Much of that was due to the aversion to running the ball and appearing to punk out when teams loaded the box. I'm over that now. He should bear some responsibility for the positive results we see today. Rome wasn't built in a day. Bringing Marinelli and Linehan was a genius move. I'm sure Garrett had his piece in making those two additions happen and he deserves credit. I'm warming up to him and can see him on our sidelines for years to come. Mmmm this bird is finger licking good.Oh...now you want to eat? What about all the hard work defending this team? Huh?
Now you want Hot Sauce? Watch the Dallas Cowboys give you some! It's tasting hot right now...
