You wake up expecting snow on a sunny January morning and it's 70 degrees outside. Gotta love Florida.:D

So what's the over/under that you'll be on the couch watching the Philly/Giants game tomorrow and wondering what might have been? or are you really over it? I have this striking suspicion that Jerry will announce some coaching changes during Super Bowl week to steal the show.

I hate you. I went down to Clearwater for the Outback Bowl and had one of the best times of my life.

Then I return to Iowa last Saturday and its gray, dreery, and 20 degrees. Once I graduate college I'm moving down there.

I like it cold in the winter.

So do I. Warm (ish) in the winter time sucks.

For the record... it's 61 degrees outside right now (with a cold front moving in later).

It got up to the 80s earlier in the week.

Yeah. It would have been nice to at least have some snow on the ground around Christmas but I lived in North Dakota for two years. I could do without snow for the rest of my life after enduring two winters up there. I wouldn't wish that North Dakota wintry weather on anyone.

No one has addressed my football topic yet. :D

Never experienced a ND winter, but I've experienced several winters in Vermont. The lack of sunshine is disturbing, but the temps and the snow never bothered me. My ideal winter environment would have lows in the 1's at night and 30's or 40's during the day. There's nothing worse than living where I live (VA). It's somewhat cold, but it never snows. We get ice and freezing rain, and it sucks far worse than any amount of snow.

As far as Jerry making a scene during super bowl week, I wouldn't hold my breath. The commish made it pretty clear that those types of things are heavily frowned upon during that week. I wouldn't put it past him, but if he's learned anything, he won't interfere with the big game.

Ahhh.. I didn't know the commish had set that precedent. I just don't see going into next season with the coaching staff "as is". Something's going to happen.

That ice & freezing rain is crazy too. We used to get a lot of that while living in Germany. I spent 5 years in Germany and I can remember three occasions where I woke up and looked outside to see everything just glossed over with a 1/2 to a full inch sheet of ice. Having to chip through an ice shell just to get your car door open is no fun. So I agree with you. Freezing rain is far worse than snow. They both suck though.

Up in ND we used to have white out conditions where you couldn't drive because you couldn't see 5 feet in front of your car. It's no fun trying to work in that. Then you add the fact that the temps in ND can sometimes get to -20 to -30 real temp before even factoring in the wind chill.

When a friend found out I was going to ND he said "make sure you toss a hot cup of coffee out the door at the coldest time of the year. It'll never hit the ground"... So you know that was one of the first things I tried when it got really cold and he was right. Hot coffee just vaporizes in the air.. CRAZY...

That's a recipe for getting sick.

Be prepared to be drinking a lot of this before you go to sleep ...

It's cold and cloudy every day during the winter with snow most of the time. All clouds and no sun makes Jack a dull boy!
