Sean Payton was the most unimaginitive, predictable, vanilla offensive coordinator in our franchise's history. Our offensive has never been and would have never been anything special with his playcalling.
Over the last 3 years, Mike Zimmer's defense has averaged #10 in the NFL, and that's with a year of almost no defensive talent and a year in a completely new scheme. His #1 defense is the ONLY reason, the ONLY reason why we made the playoffs in 2003. They were the ONLY reason we had a chance to make the playoffs this year. I don't give a damn as to how many turnovers we force, or how many sacks we get, I care about how many yards we give up and how many points the other team scores. Is he an aggressive DC? No. Does he get the job done? The stats don't lie.
