I'm sick of the media not giving any credit to the boys

I'm sitting and watching the game with my g/f and late in the 3rd she turns to me and says " Man Troy and Joe are laying into the Cowboys huh?" That sparked memories of comments that that Cowboys had to suffer through all year. For example, Romo has 6int's in the game vs the Bills and the media attacks saying "He shows that he still isn't ready to be the starter for the Cowboys". (Collinsworth on Inside The NFL)
Peyton Manning does the same thing a few weeks later facing the Chargers and you get comments like " Great QB's go through this every now and then but Peyton being the great QB that he is he will bounce back ( Chris Bermen)
The Cowboys Win the game aginst Detroit and Carolina and all you hear is " The Cowboys won...but they could have done this better or they didn't do this or they are not playing as the number one seed". But the Patriots struggle in the past 3 or 4 games and they get props for holding strong and finishing in the stretch. Why does the media place the Cowboys in the Shadow of the Patriots or the Colts? I can see it now we win the superbowl and they screw up and give the trophy to Tom Brady.

They didn't deserve any credit for last night's performance.

Furthermore, Cris Collinsworth has been one of the biggest Cowboy homer sthroughout the season. He really could be a white Michael Irvin, the way he has cheerleaded for the Cowboys at times :).

I have posted numerous Youtube clips of him comparing Romo's release to Marino's, gushing all over Demarcus Ware and being real complimentary of the Cowboys in general.

Why do you want respect from the media anyway? We have not won a Playoff game in 11 Seasons.

All we need to do is "Just win baby" and everything will take care of itself.

i'm more sick of people thinking they should love us at every turn.

they give us a lot of love and respect that no one will acknowledge, really. yet one or two get negative and all the good is gone and people focus on a few negative statements.

we're not perfect and the media is now a cowboys fan.

"Unlike every other team they faced, the Pats didn't make us look like a high school football team (I know it's hard to believe from the final score) as they weren't going with a simplistic gameplan of hurl the ball deep. The Pats killed us underneath, and had to earn every yard." - Elkabong82 (Extreme Skins poster), after the Commanders were beaten 52-7 by the Patriots

LOL. I can't stop laughing at your sig.

I was going to say the same thing, Cowboys did not deserve any credit for last night. Hopefully this will help the Cowboys from looking at their own press clippings about how great they are and force them to start focusing on the task at hand. This is a young team with little experience in handling the attention they have been getting unlike teams such as the Colts and Pats as well as some of the other post season teams.

there's been a lot of credit given for those games. but they report on what they see *now*. going deep isn't always done for any team on any level. i don't see them doing to us what they'd not do to any other team in this position.

They have repeatedly done this to several other times, not just the Cowboys.

Again, why does the media have to validate the Dallas Cowboys?

All we really have done is gain HFA, nothing more, nothing less.

so go find some feel good stories. they're out there. just a few weeks or more old. why? cause we've not been playing well. will we get better? hope so and yes, i think we will.

why do you take so personal what someone you don't know says about an organization you don't even work for?

ok i can understand that but what's the reason for all the smack coming to them b4 they were the number one seed and destroying teams.. for every good comment we would get for our explosive offence i would hear 2 bad ones. all I'm saying the media rides the jock straps of Brady and the Patriots on every good or bad thing they do. yeah we're not 16-0 but we're the best in the NFC show us some credit

how about we show up for games first THEN let them show us some credit?

the pats went 16-0. 3-0 in the last 3 games. we went 13-3, 1-2 in the last 3 games.

who's doing better recently? news isn't really a history lesson.

I guess I do take it personal because i may not work for this team but I been around it since I was born and if my team sucks then they do but if they don't, don't tell me that they suck not saying anyone has come out and said that in those exact words but they try to snacth credit form our wins by always saying something negative about it

I think your missing my point man. yes the pats came out and won but they struggled and when they struggle the get praised when we struggle and win we get comments like we don't deserve to be the number one seed

There's a fine line between Romo playing pathetic himself against the Bills and Peyton playing with a bunch of missing offensive lineman and receivers and having to settle for back-ups who cant block or run proper routes.

I think the point you miss is that that Pats WON their games.

romo threw 5 int's and got all kinds of praise for still being able to win that game.

we tend to forget past positives easily when adversity hits us today.

we won it, we deserve it. i'm not missing the point at all, i just don't give a damn what some $40k a year reporter thinks about the cowboys, love 'em or hate 'em.

they're still my team and the media won't change my opinion of them, agree or disagree with what they say.

So your saying that's a reson to have 6ints I can see maybe 3 but of Peyton's calibur having 6??? I can't buy that. in my opinon no QB should have 6int in a game no matter what. Let me correct that, no starting QB should have 6 in a game

You also have to realize that Peyton Manning is a known commodity. He has a Super Bowl Ring and was putting up huge numbers when Romo was in diapers.

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys will get their respect if they keep winning, which is all that matters.
