Don't go. We'll always have the early 90s.

Thank you for the nice post, but to answer your question as to why, or the time line on why Dak slipped, one only has to dial back to the Broncos game.
They set the blueprint on exactly how to set Dak up to fail, and the rest of the league followed Denvers lead.
It was fairly obvious, but thats usually the point in the season when good coaches that value film review start to expose major weaknesses from opponents.
    Denver exposed Dak.

It’s much more complex than this. But yes, the league figured out the Dallas offense and nobody, Dak included, could figure out how to adjust.

I think what Denver did and what other copied was rather counter intuitive. The old mantra was to beat the Cowboys, you stop the run. Maybe blitz. Denver went the exact opposite way. They kept minimal people in the box, rushed 4 and put a ton of people in coverage against medium routes while disguising the scheme.

I'm not a huge Dak fan but a lot of the reason why this worked was because Zeke couldn't beat 6 and 7 man boxes. If teams had tried this defense a few years ago, the Cowboys would have mauled it picking up 6 yards at a time.

I would say you are becoming "enlightened".....seen the real truth and not the truth Jerry wants you to see. That is the Dark Side.

I watch the bills in Kansas City game the other night. And it dawned on me that I was watching big play after big play after big plate and no penalties. Very quiet. I had become conditioned to watching the Cowboys games were literally every other play there is a flag. I do think there is a conspiracy with the refs against the Cowboys especially down the stretch. Way too many sketchy calls. And not just too many calls, calls made at critical times that were the equivalent of turnovers.

It was actually everywhere, the game controlling calls.

For some odd reason, this year the manipulating calls stopped w/ the final 4. Don't know why, but it did.

The pattern has been the same for over 25 years. When Jerry got rid of Jimmy and took control of football operations it's been the same. Jerry is a great business man, but he can't build a championship team. It wont change while Jerry is running things. The bad thing is his son probably wont be any better.

Great post......Imagine your Kellen Moore. And you want to run some offensive plays that feature a blocking FB.....and or a blocking TE.

Jerry the GM provides you with No FB.....and tells you to make do w/ Schultz and Jeremy Sprinkle....and it's ok to use Mcgovern as a FB if you need to....and It's alright to use Steele as a TE.

Amazes me people can't see how handcuffed Moore really is in this offense. It's not his doing....

It's a damn miracle we were even in the playoffs with the up and down QB play.

Excellent point Reality..............the only thing that matters are results and the Cowboys always find a way to lose, always.

So people can blame Jerry and his idiot boy, they can blame Dak and call him a choker, they can blame Moore and his crayola offense, they can blame big Mike and say Rogers carried him in Green Bay, they can blame the refs, they can blame Roger Goodell and clam there is a conspiracy against the Boyz, but at the end of the day none of that matters.

Only thing that matters is the Cowboys lost, period.............just like they always do.
