I'm worried! Can this team handle Success and keep it going?

..lol.....its ok, Cap. This situation WE have NO control whatsoever. The football GODS will answer.

Enjoy the holidays. ;)
Yeah, that's what I'm worried about,

I know it's weird but some fans like me think that way and so far, this year having those three wins in a row having our defense step up and able to come back from 21 points down against the Eagles and then down twice against the chiefs and win these games,

Also, as a Longhorn fan sitting here on the edge of the playoff system, having our big wins against OU, Vandy, and then to beat an undefeated Aggies team,

Has all my football karma been used up, has all the football gods spoken, and they won't allow me to be happy any further....

Yes, silly fans think about these things, hopefully the players do not...

If the coaches put solid game plans together and the players execute the game plans, without to many penalties or mistakes, I definitely think we have the talent to win 5 in a row and do some serious damage in the playoff. This team is different physically! We match up in the Trenches!!

Physically this team can do it. Mentally I hope they can, but they still need to prove it. Again the coaches need solid game plans. This worries me too. We looked wildly inconsistent earlier in the season due to poor game plans on both offense and defense. (See Arizona game )

Can our players and coaches handle success and keep the winning streak going?
Depends on the coach. In the past this team tended to drink their own kool-aid. But coach needs to be on top of that...

Well for one,

we all worry about that, But so far they've won three in a row, back to back games ,where they could have already smelled themselves and had a disappointment, easily could have lost going down 7 to nothing to the Chiefs given they just had a big time comeback three days earlier, they could have been high living off those fumes, but they didn't they've won three in a row ,tells me they're handling success a little bit better this year, than before...

I agree can they continue to do this especially this competition right now, the Lions being as injured as desperate the Cowboys are, playing on the road, I mean if they're going to have one of these let downs, it's going to be Thursday night another prime time game another late night game,

i'm really tired of all this, I prefer 17 noon games and let's just do it..lol

Pull the band AIDS quickly,

Gives me all day to recover,

this year is the strangest scheduling I've ever seen, they had a Monday night game against the Raiders, turned around to a Sunday afternoon against the Shegals, Three days later play the Chiefs on another Thursday game ,and then we don't get the 10 days off we have another, Thursday game against the Lions....

All these prime time games are shocking that the league still sees the Cowboys even after a bad year ,even after this very long drought, they keep being put on primetime games, it's insane!! :omg:

These other fan bases are like drooling to have some primetime games, and I'm telling them ,they can have all they want, I hate evening games..

So much anxiety, whether it's good or bad, you're hyped up, you have all this adrenaline, it affects my sleep, it ruins the next day. lOL

I don't know is this different for the players than for some of the fans like me, who don't enjoy this, maybe it's keeping them off balance enough, that they don't have time to think.. You know maybe a long 10 days before the Lions would have been worse, you know like sometimes after the bye week, the Cowboys have seemed to not play very well, too much time to overthink game plans, and what not...

But I guess we do have the 10-day layoff after the Lions game, with back-to-back home games, That should be nice...

So, I hope the letdown is not tomorrow night, but I could see where we have done this in the past and have, they changed I don't know.

From The outside ,it does look like they have, since the bye week when you win three in a row back to back against the Eagles and the Chiefs, That's a pretty good indicator that they haven't had a letdown, yet, in their minds they're not overconfident, they still know everything is almost a playoff atmosphere every game..
I’m thinking we are different in 3 ways. I hope it comes to fruition on Thursday and beyond:
1. We have the beef. We are playing more physical in the trenches on both sides of the ball vs good physical teams. We are not getting pushed around!

2. I have confidence Shotty will have a solid game plans.

3. Dak has played very well vs excellent defenses over the past 2 weeks.

This is my worry too. Can the Cowboys handle success? In the past it seemed like just when you thought they were over the hump the lost a game in a bad way. They are in a playoff situation now where 1 loss virtually eliminates them, especially a loss to the Lions. And we know how they perform in the playoffs.
Agree!

at least the road games not outdoors on grass. lol They Get to play the Lions indoors, it's not that far away, It shouldn't feel too much like an away game...

The irony here is all the talk about lately, where most of our coaches used to have us practice inside, outside of that high high wind day this season, and the fact that we play more home games down the stretch, and we play indoors,

our coaches have made them practice in this weather, drizzle, cold ,etc like I believe he's making sure they stay aware.

I guess I'm saying it's no cupcake practices, and most of these injured players regardless of their tenure on this team has had to prove during the week in practice that they can play the game, they weren't going to get a pass to play if they weren't practicing, that's a new development.

What brain rot AI are you?

You said basically the same thing in 3 different replies to the same post, bot.
Try rereading the comments you just posted of mine. They are not the same, genius.

Your just interested in being sarcastic, why don’t you just find another thread.

We can't emphasize this enough. The DHC ( Dak Hate Crowd) has been chirping for years about how Dak "chokes in big games" and "can't beat good teams." The fact that they have not yet declared the Eagles and Chiefs bad teams and that those games "didn't matter" is just a matter of time. And I will be here to LOL at them when they do.

The only worry I have is Jerry Jones managing the cap. Same as always.

The DHC? Dak Hate Crowd? I see Rockport got to you, welcome to his hate club. smdh

Not at all. Just being honest. A 30 year narrative is hard to change.
Fair enough. We have definitely had 30 years of mediocrity.

Winning 5 in a row will be extremely tough too, but since the trade deadline and Overshown and Reville have joined the team this team seems different. They are definitely stronger in the trenches.

We shall see what happens Thursday night.

I would if you wouldn’t reply to the same post 3 times seeking my attention.

Hey I am not new to creating descriptive labels for these fools. Back on the old site I created the ABD (Anybody But Dak) group to describe those who would jump on and tell us just about any QB who had a good game that week was better than Dak. But as we say down south.. only the hit dawg holla.

How cute.

We all realize this and even the Raiders the three game win streak after the bye week are basically playoff atmosphere even though they're not really the playoffs they are big games all of them because it's almost as if you lose one you're probably out there's that kind of pressure on the team right now and they won three in a row..

Not to say they won't collapse but yeah you can't go back and look at that 3 game win streak, and say that that wasn't pressure games pressure part of the season that they've gotten better every game...

I mean it's not the first time I mean we are playing more physical football than I've ever seen we are beating better teams and better defenses in these stretches but the Cowboys took down the Eagles in 2023 they beat them heads up very similar remember the Philadelphia game to pick six early kind of like the Chiefs they're down seven everyone's already going here we go again they came back and curb stomp the Eagles and then they played well down the stretch Eagles collapsed cowboys win They don't consider somehow that playing pressure football like taking the division??

I mean how about twenty eighteen you start the season3-5 Feels very similar you make some trades You get on a win streak they literally went 7-1 down the stretch, won a playoff game, and lost to the NFC champ Rams by 8..

That was a pressure situation was it not I mean they played well went to the second round of the playoffs of course no credit is given...

Don't think the true Prescott detractors are ever going to give him credit for anything anytime something happened good for the team they'll find another reason for it to give flowers to someone else and not him..

Now some of the noise that's chirping, " well any quarterback can win with a running back and two receivers like that"..IE hes being carried!! That's odd because I thought the Eagles team looked eerily familiar to an all in team that was super loaded I guess Jalen Hurts was carried that paper MVP means nothing...

That pressure has been on Dak pretty much his entire career. He has had to be basically perfect in every drive to win games when you D gives up 30+ points a game.

Molehill on the other hand his D gives up 18 points.

Of course not, but that’s what most diehard fans do before or especially during the game.
You never get nervous or worried before or during a game?
Sure I do, but i'm just pointing out that it never helps lol.

I generally save my worrying to right before game time though.

Is it lonely on the sarcasm bandwagon?

If Dallas keeps winning those odds go way up, but you don’t understand statistics and probability do you?
Don't I? sry Mr Mensa... you obviously don't like sarcasm.

I will ask you next time I'm going to mess around..

Dallas wins and the odds go up.. who woulda thunk.
