I'm worried! Can this team handle Success and keep it going?

Our defensive talent level simply isn't up to competing with the outstanding offensive threats that the best teams offer. I'm hoping, desperately, that our staff takes the pains and efforts to find the choice defensive players to compete with the greatest NFL offenses. That's exactly what we sorely require.
We definitely need to upgrade our talent on defense and offense( out tackles are way below average), but coaching matters a lot.
Our DB’s play way too soft. If Al Harris was our DB coach we would be WAY more aggressive.

Goodness.. none of these ages well. I hope you'll join us in not buying in anymore until they have some legitimate playoff success.

They don't deserve your faith in them. Not Schottenheimer.. not Dak.. especially not Jerry.
Yeah, I said I hope these things happen. I was most disappointed in our coaching.

We got out coached by Detroit badly!!!!

Jerry loves his lolipops. Keep it sticky OP.
After watching us beat 2 of the most physical teams in the league, I thought we had the talent in the trenches to go on 5 game run and make the playoffs if the coaches had solid game plans! The coaches got outcoached. The OT’s were struggling to pass blocking. Shotty should have gave them more help. He could have chipped with our TE’s and running backs!

The coaches also had the DB’s playing soft. Early in the game the DL was getting pressure, but It didn’t matter the receivers were playing so far off.

Shotty was the most disappointing to me.
He could have helped the OT’s by chipping.
Also, I have not been a big fan of Dak’s, but he played very well considering the pass blocking stunk.

I'm not worried, they can't even get to success let alone worry about handling it

Minus the turnovers and it is a different game.
Agreed you could take any one of a few things and it's a different game.
How about minus the bad calls it's a different game.
I'd even take minus the horrendous kick coverage and it's a different game.
We had nothing go our way too much to overcome

If the coaches put solid game plans together and the players execute the game plans, without to many penalties or mistakes, I definitely think we have the talent to win 5 in a row and do some serious damage in the playoff. This team is different physically! We match up in the Trenches!!

Physically this team can do it. Mentally I hope they can, but they still need to prove it. Again the coaches need solid game plans. This worries me too. We looked wildly inconsistent earlier in the season due to poor game plans on both offense and defense. (See Arizona game )

Can our players and coaches handle success and keep the winning streak going?
What winning streak, we just had out butts kicked LAST WEEK!!!

heck yeah they can. Now new question: why is that loser wearing our jersey? sheesh. Retire it already.

I think you got me confused with another poster. I didn't make that statement.
You’re right. You answered the guy that said we’d ’lost more games as the #1 seed than anybody’…that’s the guy that I was addressing and I ultimately posted the actual stats for #1 seeds who had lost and failed to make it to the SB. If you missed it, here it is again:

Number of times the #1 NFC seed has failed to make the SB since 1980. Number in parenthesis denotes number of times it’s happened to the team indicated:

49ers (4)
Falcons (3)
Packers (3)
Eagles (2)
Cowboys (2)
Bears (1)
Vikings (1)
Giants (1)
Saints (1)

For both conferences, the #1 seed fails to make the SB almost 50% of the time.
