I *think* I've posted similarly before, but but you and xwalker, Bluestang, are two of the best 'additions' to CZ over the last year or so. You guys bring both opinions and valuable content and insight. It's what makes the board rock.

And I say this knowing I'm forgetting a handful of other really good, new-ish posters out there. My apologies in advance for the omissions, but Bluestang and xwalker stand out in particular in that they actively post useful content as well as opinions.

The one you're forgetting that everyone else is thinking of is "Risen Star." He's a big hit here.

Can't disagree with you more. This is the best thing I've read in weeks. Much better than what the media is doing. I think you even give better detail than Broaddus most of the time.

For all the criticism Felix is getting at the moment for being overweight, that is one impressive burst to fly through those two skins defenders in the whole. They hardly get a finger on him.

I have 2 questions about the San Deigo game.

1. What was your assessment of Leary? I saw some heavy criticism of him, but in re-watching the game, I didn't see any significant problems.

2. Is is possible to assess Teddy Williams at CB in that game from the TV broadcast? I've seen many calls to cut him immediatley after that game. I realize that he was terrible on Kick returns; however, I just don't know how anyone can really evaluate him at CB when his man was never targeted.

If people had the All-22 film, then I would understand if they said he was lost at CB, but I just don't know how to determine this from the TV broadcast.

Please educate me on these topics if you have time.

Indeed. That was a great run, and the Commanders had 10 defenders in the box.

Felix Jones has consistently played in the 215 range. This is just one of the DFW media's extremely biased, delusional talking points. Jones was listed at 216 in 2009, but he stated in an early October 2010 interview (with an Oklahoma media outlet) that he averaged 215 in 2009. In that same 2010 interview, Jones stated that he was at 215. This was right around the Titans game, and Jones rushed for 109 yards in that game. In 2011, Jones was listed at 217, but he plays right at that 215 mark.

The lies about Jones' elusive ability by the DFW media are absurd, too. It's another extremely biased, absurd, delusional talking point. Jones is one of the most elusive running backs in the NFL. Jones' elusive rating, from Pro Football Focus, ranks him in the top 10 (during the past three seasons). They did a three year analysis.

Fans have a right to like DeMarco Murray and root for him, but the vicious lies about Jones and his play is an ethical abomination (by the DFW media and some fans).

The DFW media has the right to cheerlead for Murray and libel and slander Jones, but it sure doesn't make it ethical.

It's certainly nice to see even in preseason. Bernadeau appears to be playing with power and a good, wide base in that photo. He has some nice athleticism, too. I think the preseason games are more important for both lines (offensive and defensive). The 2010 offensive line looked horrible in the preseason (in the running game, especially), and they were indeed significantly deteriorated and old. This was confirmed during the 2010 season. The Vikings playoff game was a major warning of things to come.

This group is young and has some size, power, athleticism, and upside (as a unit). Tyron Smith is an elite run blocker. It's amazing how Smith's impact in the running game has been largely overlooked by the DFW media. Rafael Vela (Cowboys Nation) was all over it. Smith is an elite run blocker. Tyron Smith is going to be a great player for the Cowboys. I'm looking forward to watching his development this year. I expect Tyron to kick Jason Pierre-Paul's rear-end, twice.

Hanna has been a pleasant surprise, and the Cowboys are probably glad they have him now.
