Man you know I been calling this out for how long. Jourdan lewis ranked 3rd in the league right now on PFF. But we don't need PFF to tell us he balled out. And he's been ballin out since the end of his rookie year. @xwalker been dodging me for 2 days.
Richard is obviously an idiot. Sorry he might have been good with seattle but he benched jourdan lewis the day he got here even after lewis being the best corner on the team at the end of 2017. All because of height nothing to do with ability. That's about as dinosaur and close minded as possible when it comes to evaluating talent. The cowboys front office said carl lawson's arms were too short for defensive end in 2017 draft. He had 8.5 sacks his rookie year with the bengals. If only we had an expert in secondary play on staff who had a Super Bowl ring to figure out who are best CBs are.
He was benched before the 2018 season in ota's. As soon as richard got here. There was a whole article about it. And ppl covering the team were surprised because he was the best corner on the team at the end of 2017. He had a slow start due to him having a hamstring through camp. But the kid's a baller. Shame he was benched due to sizeI really don't understand you guys that think the coaches would keep the "best DB" 4th in linebecause he doesn't meet some made up physical stature.
Yeah, I agree. It can't be just the arm length thing. He closes quick and makes tackles.I've been saying it since he's been here. Best DB on the team. Completely wasted by Richard.
I don't think this is fair, especially to compare him to Chido and Byron.
Just against the Giants...he had 27 coverage snaps, but that stat doesn't say how many times he had perfect coverage. And it also doesn't mention the fact that he's covering...I don't even know who. Scrubs lol.
The numbers are probably a lot different if he's covering top WRs. I like Lewis, but this is kind of a reach.
Eye test wins. "I'll take undervalued CBs for $800, Alex."Of course that was Lewis rookie year getting his feet wet, but in any case none of them get many INT's, but it seems to me Lewis is there to bat away more balls relative to his playing time than others. Admittedly that's just my perception, and I freely admit my perception may not line up with reality.
I like the kid
Kid can cover and is physical
I hope we trade Jones at the trade deadline and re-sign Lewis
Really has the potential to become one of the best DB's on the NFL!
Unfortunately our terrible defensive staff won't play lewis though. I was one of the few that was actually hoping richard would have gotten a head coaching job.this is team is full of talent, its superbowl or bust .
I've been saying it since he's been here. Best DB on the team. Completely wasted by Richard.
I don’t understand why they refused to give the ball to barkley even when they were up 7 down 7 and the game was tied at 7
Really has the potential to become one of the best DB's on the NFL!
I don't think we have to worry about losing Lewis, because we're going to lose Byron Jones. I don't see any way Jones isn't an odd man out in free agency. You can't sign every good to great player, and after Dak and Amari's deals, there isn't going to be room for Jones.
