I seldom put much stock in football magazines and their fairweather forecasts for teams in an upcoming season but the one publication I did buy has been errily accurate as of this date. Observe the following taken from ATS Consultant's 2006 Ultimate Pro Football Annual:

NFC East

1.) DALLAS COWBOYS 12-4
2.) New York Giants 10-6
3.) Philadelphia Eagles 8-8
4.) Washington Redshins 7-9

Division Picks:

Offensive Player of the Year: Tiki Barber < Considering the media love for him it could happen

Defensive Player of the Year: DeMarcus Ware< If not Roy it is this guy.

Newcomer of the Year: Terrell Owens< I'm not sure of the criteria but I can think of none more effective inspite of it all.

Most Overrated Player: Sean Taylor< Huzzah! Journalists who pay attention.

Most Underrated Player: Jason Witten< Of all NFL tightends he is the least mentioned of the elite.

Upset of the Year: Washington over Dallas< The truth of this one stings.

Best Coach: Bill Parcells< This was a no-brainer.

Worst Coach: Tom Coughlin< Stunning foresight even after picking them to finish second.

Overall I thought these were astonishingly Nostradamic.
FYI they picked Dallas to win the Super Bowl.

What was that sports magazine called again? Dallas Cowboys Monthly? :D

Geez, if Dallas does win the super bowl, i think that magazine should show the people at sports illistrated how to predict a football season. Who was it SI said would go to the super bowl Panthers and Dolphins:rolleyes: ?
