In 11 Days We Face the Defending Champs

Since it's a nationally televised game I was wondering what you hope to see. Don't forget, the starters will not play a lot (that means all success and failure must be tempered) and the score doesn't matter. Feel free to share any prediction of a score if you wish though.

Okay, what would I like to see?

I'm going to start on Special teams. I'd like to see Miles, Thompson, and Stanback all return at least 1 kickoff and see how they do under real fire.

I'd like to see Folk and Grammatica both kickoff and attempt FGs and see who really is impressing.

I'd like to see Adams and Columbo start the game before giving way to Free and Marten. This would mean they are back. I hope I don't see any rookies starting on OL.

I'd like to see Jackie Battle, Tyson Thompson and Alonzo Coleman all get ample chances to move the chains.

I'd like to see Ware and Spencer meet at Peyton Manning and make a wish.

more aggressive style of defense...interested in seeing what kind of differences we see in the offense from last yr, particularly the run blocking

If our starters aren't going to play then I want to see Spears tearing it up out there!

If Indy starts their top guys then I don't expect much from our offense. But I would like to see Thompson rip into those guys. So far Battle and the other RB have not stood out.

The Word Hurd is who I want to see excel at the WR position.

I hope Matt Moore and Bartel look a lot better than Jeremiah Johnson. Just not a lot of confidence in our #2 right now.

Carp, Burnett and Watkins are the guys I want to see make a difference on D.

All I want to see is players' fundamentals, are they fundamentally sound in set up, reading plays, tackling...etc?

What I don't want to see is excessive penalties and confusions.

i'm actually excited for preseason b/c for once I get to watch all of the games.

for me, preseason is all about finding those one or two breakout players that no one expected to have a shot at a roster spot.

everything else is gravy, and hoping no one gets hurt.

I want to see our backup offensive line show some promise.

I hope we dont let Jason Ferguson play more than a series and hopefully we can find someone to put behind him.

Im also excited about our depth at corner. I cant wait to watch Joey Thomas because from the training camp video I saw of him that guy is really playing the ball well.

Always interested in Rookies too.

2. I want to see what kind of depth we have at OL,DL,AND LB. I'm going to have a keen eye on Burnett. I think he has a chance to be a monster. Also wants too see Spears start making plays under wade's system.

I want to see a little of Leonard Davis, as well as Julius Jones since this will be his first Tunaless game as a Cowboy.

I also want to see what Brad Johnson can do. I mean he's a known commodity but it'll be interesting nonetheless.

I'll also be watching the entire D-line, and how the linebackers are utilized in this preseason game.

Granted, in the most vanilla of offenses against an equally unlikely to give-anything-away Colts D, l want to see Tony Curtis start to earn himself a roster spot.

Mostly I want to get some sense of the rookies, and new undrafted free agents regarding their speed, move, size, strength, poise, command of fundamentals. Even in a glorifed scrimmage with back-ups playing back-ups, you can get an 'idea' of physical and mental stamina, and sometimes even 'heart'.

I second the notion of seeing zero injuries.

I'd like to see Carp make plays rather than reacting to them afterwards.

I'd like to see Burnett do something, cause I have heard little to nothing about him thus far in the practice reports.

I want to see a confident Watkins.

I can't wait to see Courtney Brown...gotta love having some more burners on defense. Reports have been pretty good so far.

I'd like to see Ball make an impression.

I want to see Spencer make QB's poop a little.

I want to see Folk make every attempted FG and EP...and get his kickoffs to the goalline.

I want to see a solid backup offensive line.

I want to see Fasano prove me right.

I want to see Spears and Canty make the most of what few reps they get.

I want to see Williams in the backfield.

I want to see Hamlin play centerfield and get his hands on some balls.

I want to see a confident Romo.

It's the first preseason game so I'd expect our starters to play no more then the first quarter. In that case, I want to see who starts at OLB, whether Adams & Colombo both healthy enough to play, etc. After that it's time to see how our backups do and that's where it will really get interesting cause that includes all our draft picks, undrafted free agent signings, and 2nd/3rd players. Remember some of these players may be challenging a few of our starters now or soon in the future like Free, Marten, Ball, Brown Anderson, Austin, Hurd, Fasano, etc.

Most of all I just want us to be injury free.

i want them to annihilate the competition and leave no room at all for even the slightest thought that any one can even hang with our third stringers

if i don't get this, i'm gonna be taking a visit to dallas with my rocket launcher.
