...From the beginning of my experience in 1961 to the present,I really thought I had seen every conceivable way that we could lose a game, every fathomable way that we could 'snatch defeat from the jaws of victory',so to speak. I was wrong! I think for all the ridiculous things that have happened over the years (See "No,Danny....No!",and "Starr follows Kramer into the endzone",to that "thing" in SF,of whose name I will not speak),we have now found our 'sublime' part of the equation. I don't think we will ever see one to top the one last night. At least hopefully not...But then again, these are our "loveable heroes",as I believe Blackie Sherrod used to refer to them, that we are talking about. One thing about OUR team....They are never boring! And I'll love 'em anyway!

Yep...It happens like that sometime.

Maybe it is building character.

If that's the criteria for building character, then we have plenty of that. We don't need no stinkeeng character!

The Cowboys are still a young team at most positions, so maybe we can chalk this up to a learning experience. But like everybody else I'm tired of us winning a "big game" just to turn around and lose the next "big game." What we aren't seeing is progress. The defense looked like world beaters, but they regressed last night. The offense was surely on its way to consistency, right? RW11 was going to be incorporated into the offense, right? The O-line mauls people, right? And the special teams were going to get better at some point, right? No matter what carrot you dangle in front of them, the Dallas Cowboys have no pride. That shames me more than anything -- seeing my heroes out there not even fighting.

it's a first (and i've watched the cowboys for 32 years, now)...

2 back to back 80 yard td runs?...the defense quit when we needed them one last time, in the 4th qtr, vs. the steelers. folks, that was pretty compared to what the defense did in this 4th qtr. don't talk to me about great defenses, if you don't finish (i know, the offense & romo sucked...but when they came alive, why did the defense die?).

garrett?...he's either incapable of adjustments, lacking in imagination, stupid, or sabataging wp....

The defense didn't "quit", they were basically stacking the line in panic mode trying to stop the run, and once the back got through, no one was back there.

Now there's absolutely zero excuse for Ken Hamlin's pathetic display of tackling -- but the team didn't quit.
