In my opinion Jerry's biggest mistake that hurts team

Is his insisting that he control the assistant coaches.

This year is the first year that Garrett gets the guy he likes on offense. Most of the other coaches he has no control over and is stuck trying to prove he is a head coach with some other persons coaches. No way that is fair to him. Garrett should have taken those other head coaching jobs when offered.

Even Parcells was stuck with Jimmer.

Every coach should be allowed the assistants they want or need. They should succeed or fail with thier people. Plus the coaches need to be able to work together. Now we here that Calllahan and Garrett didn't even talk last year.

Jerry will not change and that is why the Cowboys have been so long without winning anything important.

I don't know about biggest mistake, but the worse thing that happened to Jerry was winning 3 super bowls with Jimmy's players. Because of that, he think he is a football God. He thinks he can do it his way since he has rings. And from that day he canned Jimmy, and won with Switzer, it was the Cowboys fan curse. And nearly 2 decades later, he can't get it out of his blood stream. He just knows he's close and he's not. And this is why I pray for a 2-14 season.8-8 means false hope and just enough intrigue to keep fans interested in the next year.

it's not like jimmy is a football cap genius. Jimmy flopped in his next HC adventure. Switzer did what jimmy did. Jerry had more o do with those three SBs than u give him credit for. I disagree with the saying that winning 3 SBs was the worst thing. In fact it was a great thing. you pray for a 2-14 season. laughable
