From Todd Archer/DMN blog:

"Nose tackle Jay Ratliff will play today after missing Friday's practice with a knee injury.

Ratliff had been listed as questionable on the injury report.

Rookie wide receiver Kevin Ogletree is active for the second time this season with return specialist Allen Rossum out with a hamstring injury.

In addition to Rossum, safety Mike Hamlin, linebacker Jason Williams, guard Montrae Holland, center Duke Preston, tackle Pat McQuistan and linebacker Curtis Johnson are inactive."

I think the success of Austin is making them pull the trigger much too soon on Ogletree. There was a quote out of VR this week that the Cowboys expected Austin to be this productive sooner in his career, but couldn't because of not having opportunities. They may now be trying to force the issue with Ogletree.

I truly think Ogletree will be a future starter or #3 for us, but I also think he needs at least another year to develop. He needs to build some strength and confidence.

I doubt Ogletree sees a snap on O today, or for quite some time

Jerry said he would play on offense, so i’ll believe him.
Yeah, I get the feeling we'll see him on offense, particularly if we're up by multiple scores in the 2nd half. In that case, bring him on. :D

Nothing wrong with letting the guy get a couple of snaps. We don't know if he'll get any but I'd like to see him get Hurds snaps for a few games. Assuming he's ready.

I agree when based on the receiver job but as a returner I would rather risk him being injured on a return right now than Miles or Felix.

Curtis Johnson is a bit of an enigma

I'm guessing they are being extra careful with his hamstring considering he re-injured it coming back too soon last time. One more time like that and he could be done for the year.

BTW, I was looking at some all-time college stats (for Felix, actually) and he in on the lists for TFLs and fumbles forced. I know he played for a tiny college, but still. I'm still excited to see him play at some point.

On another note, it's disappointing to see J-Will inactive again.

This forum will explode if Olgetree makes a catch.

The "bench Roy and start Olgetree" crap will be out of control.

They should've played Jason Williams.

Playing Ogletree was pointless.
