Interest in TE Tyler Eifert?

Rather sign him than draft one in the 2nd.

Not even a question for me.
I would sign him to an incentive laden deal as a method of insurance.

If the top TEs in the draft are all gone by 58, then at least we have someone at least capable of being a TE1 on the roster.

Jarwin is absolutely not that guy.

Calling him that is like insisting Jeff Heath is a starting quality safety.

Did we? First time hearing it.....
If this is true, all other bets are off, he's the upgrade. Can certainly see Stephen calling the Bucs again.... the question is how much to give up? ( 3rd? 4th? )
I don't think that is confirmed at all.

Just came across this.....

GERALD MCCOYDL, TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

The Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud reports the Bucs are expected to keep DT Gerald McCoy in 2019.
Set to make $13 million under a new staff in 2019, McCoy peculiarly sent a tweet saying "embrace change, even when the change slaps you in the face" back in January. Although that led to speculation the 31-year-old would be released, Stroud writes McCoy will be back and asked to transition to defensive end part of the time when the Bucs use their 3-4 alignment. Cameron Brate and DeSean Jackson are among the possible casualties if the franchise does in fact keep McCoy's salary on the books this upcoming season.

Good catch,, thank you...

Pretty much what everyone else said. Yes, if he comes cheap. There shouldn't be much guaranteed money on the deal and it should mostly incentive based. Definitely brings potential upside.

Swaim and Eifert can not even be compared.

Eifert is an elite TE. He just can't stay healthy.
if he can't stay healthy....then he can't help us.
Id rather we draft a TE or pursue a healthier vet.
now....if we sign him...I'll get his jersey and root like hell for him.
but Id rather have a TE we can count on.
just me.

I think there are certain positions that can, and do. Offensive linemen have come in and contributed significantly immediately, notably Martin and Frederick. Defensive tackles as well. Maliek Collins best year was his first year.

And given this team's uncertain future beyond 2019, I'm expecting pick #58 to contribute this year. And that's why I'm ruling out a TE there.

And that's what I would do in this case.
We need another OL in the worst way, Dallas needs to get OL to 2016 level.

All fans want another Witten but they are few and far between. Eifert's latest post and videos show that he is healthy and wanting to play.

I doubt Dallas resign Swaim and betting they keep Jarwin, Schultz and Gathers whether we think they should or not. At the very least Gathers goes to training camp.

Could sign Eifert to a heavy incentive contract which would include games played. A contract for 1 million plus incentives sounds about right for one year with team option for 2.

Then draft a guy like Kaden Smith who has a huge catch radius, good blocker, good seam runner, and very good route runner. He also knows how to help his QB. A huge catch radius is sort of a must for Dak, IMO.
Can he catch bad passes

No interest from me.

TE is going to be tough to immediately upgrade unless one of the top three falls. You don’t get much out of rookie TEs usually.

We want another guy who can block and catch. And I can’t see us spending big on one in FA with the other deals we have to get done.

Turns out Goedert is pretty freaking awesome. We'll give you Ertz for Martin
