Callahan's gone. I'd be surprised if Marinelli leaves. He seems awfully happy, and Jerry will beat market rate to keep him, I'm sure. I think Broaddus is tone deaf on this one.

Of all the things we have to worry about the rest of the season this isn't one of them. Assistant coaches coming and going is an off season challenge.

I think a lot of it depends on how the rest of the season plays out. If things continue on the current trajectory, I wouldn't be surprised to see them stay just to be part of something special with the most popular franchise in sports. Those are career experiences you just don't pass up.

I think both Callahan and Marinelli will stay. If Callahan decides to leave we have Pollack, who is another very good oline coach.

Marinelli will stay. I think Tampa is happy with Frazier. They know their defense needs work and I don't think Marinelli will take a job with more work and less pay. Plus I don't think Tampa is willing to fire Frazier just like that. I think that would be foolish.

Lastly, Jerry will bust out his wallet for keeping these coaches here. He can pay them double the rate thats in their position. Usually money talks louder than words. Thus I believe BOTH will stay especially with what they have going here is pretty good I might add.

Callahan also happens to be the running game coordinator, for those just tuning in.

Just like player chemistry is paramount to success in the NFL so is the coach chemistry. One Coach doesn't make all the difference for a team, the same applies for one player. Hopefully the players and coaches can stay together for a good while. A 3-5 year highly competitive run could be on the horizon if Jerry can hold most of these pieces together.

I dont want Callahan as anything more than OL coach, that seems be his ceiling. If somebody wants him as OC or HC, they can have him. Also I think Pollack would be fine as OL coach if Callahan leaves. As far as Marinelli goes, I think it will depend on how the season plays out.

Callahan was just as bad as Garrett calling plays, if he wants to be anything more than the OL coach he can pound sand.

I agree that Callahan is probably gone. Unless he really wants to ride this O line for a while.

Marinelli- do not see him leaving unless he is somehow uncomfortable here.

He said he doesn't think Callahan or Marinelli are back next year. That Callahan will look to get an OC position and Marinelli will go help Lovie in Tampa where his true loyalty lies. I thought it was kind of interesting he would believe that considering what's going on around here, more so about Marinelli.

They said the same thing about Marinelli when Lovie got the job. Yet he remains. All speculation. Like the Cowboys will only win 4 games.

Broadus prefaced his statement with "I don't have any inside information" so it's just a hunch he has. Personally, I don't see any reason for Marinelli to leave. He has a bunch a guys coming together, playing their hearts out and buying what he's selling. He seems to be enjoying himself in Dallas. It wouldn't make sense for him to leave just because of some perceived loyaltly to Lovie Smith. Maybe he has developed loyalty to Garrett.

Bryan is absolutely entitled to his opinion but I don't think this is one where he has any real insight beyond the fan base.

It is clear Callahan will go somewhere and call plays IF given a job to do so.
I am sure he'll interview for positions but he clearly isn't above working here if nothing else better is offered.

Marinelli is most loyal to Kiffen then to Lovie. He has no desire for a promotion so what he does is much harder to say.
He has probably built relationships with these players now.
I'd think that's a big factor.

But anytime your team has success you expect to lose assistants.
It is just part of the deal.
At some point Linehan will get head coaching interviews if this offense keeps rolling.

As mentionned above the guys in Tampa are already Lovie/Marinelli guys. I doubt he wants to step in and get one of those guys fired.

I would offer Rod a large extension over the bye week. If he doesn't take it, then you know in the back of your mind its time to start looking for a DC

callahan leaving is somewhat expected. he wanted to leave last year. if he is offered a oc job and i think he wil, you can't blame him for wanting the job. Rod may be dofferent, i think as long as kiffin is here he will be. but we shall see

I am going to go out on the limb here and guess that pretty much any OL coach in the NFL would do pretty well with Fredbeard, Martin, Smith, Leary and Free. That is not saying anything against Callahan. I think he is a good OL coach and OC. Maybe he was also instrumental in identifying potential in Fredbeard and Martin before the draft.

Without talent, almost all coaches are going to fail.

It's extremely hard as a young OL to come into this league and have immediate success the way those 3 have had, even as talented as they are.

Don't think for a minute Callahan has nothing to do with that.
