I've taken the liberty of ignoring everyone in that thread that fall into these categories.

A: told you to "stop"
B: suggested at ignoring you or thread was a waste of time but clicked anyway
C: says they didn't read the post or posted a response where clearly they didn't read the OP
D: preseason argument
E: thinks they are gm's/professional scouts but clearly know nothing and is a neckbeard
F: anyone who posts like a true beta

zrinkill: Would be a wasted pick ....... he will never be starter for the dallas cowboys

Yakuza Rich: I find Dak intriguing, but he's got about a 10% chance of succeeding, IMO.

Sydla: Hell no on Cook or Prescott.

NickZepp: Cardale Jones is my number 1 QB left. Real raw but could actually be a starter in the NFL some day. Prescott, Cook, probably Hogan don't have NFL starting QB material

IAmLegend: Not a single one of these remaining QB's has a future in Dallas imo. Would be a wasted pick. Which is exactly why I fully expect us to take Prescott in the 4th.

Sadams: He sux

Alexander: Awful.

Dundalis: Meh. Waste of a pick when we have other needs. As long as the pick doesn't prevent us from going out and truly making the effort to get a real QB prospect in the next few drafts who actually have the potential to replace Romo as a franchise or at the very least above average starter.
Wood: everyone keeps telling me this is great pick so I will listen. Just surprised Dallas takes a player who probably doesn't see the field this year combined with Jaylon Smith who won't see field either. That's two draft picks who won't help your team this year. Personally, I would have taken CB here and get serious about Romo replacement next year and use 1st rounder.

jnday: Yes, you have a point. Jerry will use him to say that the QB problem is solved. When Romo is gone, they will waste two or three years trying to make Dak into a pro QB even though he doesn't gave the talent. Most of us knew this pick was coming, so there is no surprise. For those that think he is the answer, they clearly have not watched him play. He is a good kid with good leadership snd was a good college QB, but the Tebow comparisons are valid , except Tebow was better. He will be a progress stopped in the future and his ceiling is being a third string QB or practice squad guy. If Cook had Dak's attitude and character, he would be a top five guy. I think that much of Dak as a person, but as a football player, no way. I watched just about every game that he played and the media coverage was a daily thing here in Mississippi, so I kinda have a feel for the guy.

cowboys2233L: Just awful. Wasted pick.

Chris in Arizona: Franchise crippling decision. Will delay the addition of a quality successor by 3 or 4 years.

Jerry Jones secures his status as the worst GM/Player Personnel Executive in all of sports. Has no plan or real ability to identify talent. Two decades of poor roster moves that will never be rivaled because no one else would ever be allowed to keep making these type of decisions.

Awful, awful decision.

This team used to be the most innovative player personnel in sports and now we are a soap opera.

idgit: They failed to seriously address the QB2 role. Dak's not even an option in that regard this year as far as I'm concerned.

And last, but certainly not least:

Plasticman: If Romo goes down it wont be Prescott coming in, it will be the mediocre veteran signed at the last minute, the one that sends Kellen Moore packing.

A lot of people literally have zero credibility to judge future picks. When your assesment is that far off (such as suggesting that drafting Dak was a franchise crippling choice), your opinion can never ever be trusted again in the future.

Well, let's not be too tough on them. Im sure a few of them, one in particular, saw the pick as an obstacle to Moore getting a fair shot. And who is to say that if both Romo and Moore hadnt gone down, would Prescott been as familiar with running the first team?

If Moore had stayed completely healthy, how would he fare with 27 passes a game while handing off to Elliott.

Heh, heh, not even close. Prescott has been a pleasant shock and to those who called it....I salute you.

Some of them have an agenda against Jerry. You can tell a few of those quotes were going after Jerry and weren't even focused on Dak. Alexander is your usual know-it-all who actually knows nothing, but he will always pretend he knows. Same with Sydla

I understand where Idgit was coming from. I think it was reasonable to think Dak needed about a year of watching before he could step in and be a competent QB.

I dont think anyone including the cowboys knew how Dak would turn out.
No one foresaw he would start week 1 due to the 1 and 2 being hurt.

I will be honest , I knew nothing about Dak and during camp the video I saw which wasnt much showers
looked better to me.
So I had no idea how good he was and knew nothing about him as a person.
Then I saw him in that 1st PS game and was like wow, but it is PS.
Then PS game 2 and again he looked the same if not better, and I thought this guy has something!
Then I read what I could about him and decided this guy might just be something special.

I started my infamous QB controversy thread, saying Dak should maybe be the starter, not Romo, and that
there should be a competition for the job.

Then Romo got hurt game 3 .
Then game one they lost but I still saw the same Dak and had confidence in him.
Then 5 wins in a row, and here we are.

The more I found out about him personally the more I liked him.
I also said he was out to earn the starting role from the start , and as he says, it is up to the ones
that make the decisions.

So far no commitment to Dak from the jones, or coaches.
I wonder just how much he has to do to get that ??

beat the eagles and browns will help, and I think his goal was to go undefeated, as he has said several times,
that first game should have been a win.
So anyway hope he makes it 6-1 this sunday.

That's exactly what's it is. Some of these posts it isn't just their stupidity. It's their hatred for Jerry.

I was joking in this thread but I was all over Dak after the Senior Bowl........every mock I did on Firstpick.com I tried to get him in the 4th 5th or 6th

I admit, as I have before, that he's far exceeded what i thought of him. I didn't want him at all. I was wrong about him for sure.
