I know some will use this as comedic material considering what the subject matter of the thread is, but look at how high MOST of them have Romo rated in their top 10s. He's earning some pretty good respect even from our most hated rivals.

http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?t=216001

Again, try to ignore what the subject is and how high some of them have Jason Campbell rated. He's going to be a good one and I understand them saying they wouldn't take someone else over him because we are the same with Romo, but...

Nope, not gonna ignore the subject, sorry...

Campbell is the 16th ranked quarterback in yards per game, the 18th (among QBs with at least 50 pass attempts) in quarterback rating, and that moron is asking if he's one of the ten best in the league??

Uhhh, no, he's not... he's not even one of the fifteen best... which means he's a middle of the pack quarterback...

And even that's largely because of ONE good (not great) game, against arguably the league's worst pass defense... until that game, you couldn't even have made a case for him being one of the 20 best...

Now, those Skins fans who ranked Romo in the top 3 or 4 showed they have at least a LITTLE sense... that's about right, Brady, Peyton Manning and maybe Favre are ahead of him, but this year, that's it...

I gotta say, I'm surprised by the amount of respect some of those guys show Romo. Some of them have him rated higher then I do.

But then there's some complete morons/homers over there that don't even have him in the top 10. One of them thinks Garrett was OUR QB coach last year, thinking we're running the same system cuz all we did was promote him.

Ummm, MORON, Garrett was MIAMI'S QB coach last year. We aren't running the same offense we did last year.

As far as Campbell goes, I think he's actually pretty close to top 10. He doesn't make a lot of plays, but he doesn't screw up a lot either. He needs to keep his screws up at the level they're at now, but make more plays in the process.

And I agree with most of them that say Eli doesn't belong on the top 10. He's a freakin' loser. Take Plexiglass away and Eli is NOTHING.

Carson Palmer is ahead of Romo.

I'm just amazed by the week to week opinions on players and games. Last week, we were considered top notch cause we put a 1st class beat-down on the Rams, and just because we barely escaped with a Victory, now we're simi-trash.

Same with Romo - he's not all of a sudden a bad QB because of that game. If this were true, then some of the greats would be considered trash.

Now if Romo goes out there and does this game after game, or every other game, they may have a point. Romo is a top 5 QB after his first full year of service, I can only imagine what he will be when he gets to the end of his second full year. ES for the most part is zoo.

I see the ES idiots are at it again. So Campbell has one good game in his career (and it wasn't even that great) and now he should be considered as a top-10 QB, pleeeze, give me a damn break.

Campbell has never thrown for 300 yards

Never thrown 3 or more TD passes

Only averages 197 passing yards per game

Has a career completion percentage of whopping 55%

Maintains a losing record as a starter

Comical.

There are plenty over there with some sense though. Quite a few have Romo in the top 5. Weird...

I hit quite a few team boards, not just the NFC east teams, and one thing I am picking up on is pple are nopticing whats happening in Big D. We aint sneaking up on no one anymore. Pple know that Dallas's D is getting fearsome and they know that the Offense if clicking on all 12 cylinders. They even know about McBriar. Pple are seeing the dawning of the newest Cowboys era.

Why? Because he can throw the ball 70 yards?

Nah, not buying that. If anything, they're on the same tier right below Peyton and Brady, with the difference between them being negligible. If I already had good receivers, offensive line and a strong running game in place, Carson Palmer and his gun are where I'd go. If I need my QB to make plays, to compensate for the weaknesses in the run game and offensive line, you gotta go with Romo. He's not as limited as Palmer.

Palmer hasn't done anything that Romo hasn't. He's just played a little longer. Is he a better QB? Nah - just a different one.

Its not nearly as bad as I'd thought an ES thread would be. Seems quite a few put Romo in the top 5-10 range and en equal amount refused to call Cambell a top 10 QB. Of course there are those rose colored glass wearing homers who think hes a top 3 qb

Romo throws ill advised throws which results in interceptions. He's good, but he's more of a bum than he is a solid passer. Jason Campbell is up in the top five though.

Im shocked and saddened that people are putting Palmer up above Campbell..but you have shocked me with the Derek Anderson up above Campbell. but when you say Kurt Warner, who is JUST NOW starting in AZ, i am sure you must be smoking the wacky tabaccy. he wassnt even a starter on his team until this week and you have him listed above our QB?

and what in the hell has derek anderson really done?

Working in IT, you figured I would have met some clueless people, but that first part marked in bold takes the cake. :bravo:

I often read both ES and one of the Giant forums. Both give me lots of chuckles. Really enjoyed reading all those pages on ES after we beat the Bills. Those Skins fans really hate the Cowboys and a big hate on Romo.

The Giant board is somewhat similar in their hatred of the Cowboys but much more able to evaluate our talent and seem have a better knowledge of us. Probably because there several fans posting who Giants fans in Texas. The Giants do give Romo a lot more credit although they hate him of course. Even after his play against the Bills, several bluntly said they take Romo over Eli any day.

I didn't see Romo mentioned at all.

However, if we ever lose Tony to free agency, we should try to sign that Homo guy they were talking about over there. They all had him ranked really high so he must be good.
