Heard this on satellite radio last night and haven't checked yet to see if it's accurate, but it sounds right.

Seattle and Chicago are an amazing 20-2 versus NFC opponents!

And guess who gave each of them their one NFC loss?

If you answered Commanders, you are correct.

Interesting Super Bowl implications. The Skins are the one team I would pick right now to beat the usual first round byes, and the Skins are a lot hotter now than they were when they beat those teams.

If Joe Gibbs wins another Super Bowl visit.... :bang2:

All the NFC teams are very close, talent-wise. It truly is a toss-up, unlike most years.

Commanders will NOT lose today, that is certain............book it.

Both those games were in Washington.

Chicago and Seattle are a combined 15-1 at home, which is where they'd face the Skins in a playoff game.

Correct.

17-20 vs seatle

7-9 vs chicago w/Orton

Playing on the road and facing a decent QB will restore reality.

IF they win today :D

I know I'm probably risking a permanent ban from the Zone, but Gibbs is one of my favorite coaches of all time... he's a hard-nosed, up in your face kind of coach and works with what he has. This team could be one of the dangerous ones in the tournament.

With that said, I think they are due to lay a huge egg in the near future. Probably not this week against the Iggles, but possibly in the first round of the playoffs. I seriously think this team has gotten the Boys number this year, so I wouldn't want to face them again. But, if the Boys did get that shot, BP will have them prepared. Maybe it would result in a 35-7 thrashing in our favor.

Interesting thought. If it happens, it will have to be in the NFC Championship.

I used to respect Gibbs a lot. But his incessant whining about the refs whenever his team loses has changed my tune. Yes, he is a great coach, but complaining about the officiating after every game when it costs his team, but not vice versa is a sign of hypocrisy.

I might be the only person on the board who doesn't see anything wrong with a coach sticking up for his team and complaining when he doesn't agree with things. How many of us had "unreasonable" fathers and mothers stick up for us in school when we knew they were wrong? Gibbs has made his team believe that they were always one call or one play away from winning those 6 losses (barring the first Giants game, of course), and they're playing with a chip on their shoulder.

I don't see anything wrong with it. If nothing else, he's bringing up an issue to make officials aware of it next time. If that's what it takes to make the refs pay more attention to what's going on, I'm all for it. Everybody complains about the refs, even those of us who sit at home and watch the games from the comforts of our living rooms... there is always that one missed call that either cost points or the game.

Exactly, it's just that Gibbs made it a public issue. He isn't the first or only head coach this season sending tapes to the NFL for review.
