i would be in favor of going heath and woods safeties and byron in the slot as a corner. byron brings zero physicality to the safety position.

I definitely get the feeling we're concealing Noah Brown.

Dude actually is a pretty nice route runner with Dez like abilities. Unless he's got rocks for brains, I just don't see why he doesn't have a chance at being successful.

Don't know about 'concealing,' but they're definitely trying to keep him active. I think he's the in house candidate to replace Butler in the off season.

Why in the world would we be "concealing" Brown? Are you planning to spring him as a surprise to the Eagles in two weeks or something?

We are hiding him so he doesn't get too many snaps to run up his stats before his next contract. :)

Woods needs more snaps,he has shown more anticipation at the safety spot than Byron Jones.

JJ Wilcox brought a lot of physicality to the safety position. I worried with Wilcox that he was just as likely to injure the opponent as he was his own player. It was hit or miss with his physicality and his coverage skills were poor.

Yikes.

I think Brown will be a decent WR but this idea that he's the next Dez is fairly preposterous at this point. Dez was one of the most talented WRs to come out in some time and Brown simply doesn't have that cache. I suspect, if he were as talented as Dez and going to be the next Dez, that play would come out on the field. But he's running at the 6th WR for a reason.

My guess is he ceiling for Brown is a nice #2 WR.
I think the only reason Brown is in the position he's in now was because of that major injury he suffered. Not everybody skyrockets from college into the pros, some take time. I think he has all the intangibles to be the next big receiver for us.

I think we need a DRUG CHECK here! Obviously, you have been in a coma the last two years. Just to bring you up to speed, we have a future hall of famer in RICO "BAD MAN ZEUS" GATHERS!!!

Whoa, the HOF already? That's what I call instant credibility! Perhaps we should wait 'til he gets out of IR first?

I just like going to the 5:04:00 mark of the Day 3 Draft Show and watch Helman, Broadus and the gang go nuts when Dallas moves up in the draft to get Woods. It is great video.

The truly elite WRs tend to show something right away.

Brown isn't in that class. No need to put ridiculous expectations on him. He doesn't have the talent of guys like Bryant, Jones, Green, Thomas, etc.......... elite level WRs.

Why not add 20 pounds to Noah and make him the TE of the future?
He is the same height/weight as Dez and ran a similar forty time. Brown had slightly better 3-cone and SS and a better bench press. Brown didn't jump so no numbers on that.

Brown was the best blocking WR that I've ever seen in college football. He would be a sub-par blocker as a TE.

Tap the brakes on Woods. We often have ranking sorted in terms of ignoring injury or ignoring physical attributes. So Woods very likely was super high in DB rankings that put him being a Smurf aside. He played amazingly in college but guys his size don't often make it as every down safeties.

Please - before you post - don't bother saying "but so and so is that size!" Look to the typical safety, not the exception

It's just my gut feeling which really isn't debatable. I'm sure AB was elite his rookie year, right? Deandre Hopkins wasn't supposed to be this good, everybody was saying Sammy Watkins was the better of the two and we see how that's turning out. Not everybody and that's elite in college is good in the NFL and vice versa.

Miles Austin ring a bell? He definitely showed something in the preseason where the Cowboys didn't feel comfortable letting him walk because they didn't feel like he would make it back to the practice squad. That speaks volumes and itself!

He had a pretty bad injury in college. He's definitely shown flashes! You must be a Michigan guy

Noah is Dez's replacement. I usually get a certain feeling about someone being the next star for us and it turns out to be true a lot of times. Last time I had it was when we signed David Irving, no lie.

I get those feelings a lot too. I had that feeling about Miles Austin, so I was correct on that one!

However, I had the same feeling about Jeff Heath...
