I could swear Jack Crawford was drafted by the Raiders.

He was, 5th round in 2012, but we did not trade for him. They let him go and we signed him 3 days later.

I do not mind them doing that at all. I consider those an assist, not a put down. I made some errors. Knew I would. Mods fixed one. I appreciate that. Brice Butler was a trade. I didn't bother to look it up because I was sure he had been a FA signing. That was wrong, and his number is 19, not 17. I was doing those by memory and should have checked. I can't add Showers to the PS but if a Mod wants to I would appreciate that too.

I like seeing so many via the Draft. I like seeing so few via FA and trades. I was surprised at how many of the 53 are Garrett era only.

This was his plan from the start. With the exception of a few players, like Tony & Jason, maybe a few others. Jason Garrett started to get rid of the over paid, aging, under performing players.
I figured this was a 2, and probably a 3 year rebuild. And the biggest obstacle being how to do this with the salary cap in shambles.
He started by rebuilding the OL.
But when it came to the defense, disaster struck, well it struck before he took over. But injuries took its toll as well as going back to the 3-4.
We are snake bit on the D side of the ball. Well snake bit on injuries all together. Tony, Dez, now Tony again.

Every time it seems we get a decent defensive player, something happens. The LB Holleman? has to retire, Ware is lost to cap issues and nagging injuries his last several years. Lee in and out.
Now all these injuries holding back players this year. Then the stupity of Hardy and now this year RoMac, the suspended players stupidity. This needs to stop, but how. Draft good defensive players and stop trying to be cute is how. Do you think they will learn from this, finally?

Maybe we finally get the luck to change and Dak is what we hope he can be. Now we just need to be surprised at the defense this year. Maybe Dak is the lucky charm to set things in the right direction. Maybe it's Zeke and Byron Jones.

DE and LB scare me the most. Sean Lee holds that lb group up, without him in there its more concerning than DE. I really hope Jaylon is worth the wait because Myles Jack would make that a nice group. Much as we hate on RoMac we needed him this year...

DE definitely looks bad. It's hard to blame the team for their inaction in the offseason, because we did have two starters in Gregory and Lawrence. However, their inability to address the position after the suspensions really bothers me.

On the flipside, our OL looks awesome, depth players included. Looney, Leary and Green are all capable of starting a game or two.

DE looks uncertain to me. DLaw will be back before you know it, Gregory is not dead, and Mayowa and crew I have no idea about. Maybe I'm too happy because I don't see Hayden and Mincey on there. They I know were bad.
