Irvin was confident to the point of ridiculousness yesterday.

Time to eat that crow Mike.

Glad to see one former Cowboys player speaking up for his former team like Jaworski, Ditka, and Theismann do!! If there is any truth, we all know deep down that Michael was right on about us needing someone with fire.

Irvin is the only reason I watch ESPN's pre-game show - he's not afraid to say the truth.

O.K. maybe not when it comes to his personal life but when it comes down to arguing with T.J. and Jaws he'll stand his ground and will tell us the "truth" about how he sees/feels about certain subjects (i.e. T.O. not getting the ball or Steve Smith being the MVP for his team).

i dont think lrvin like jackson that much.

Because Jackson won't brown nose about TO. And Jackson is right.

It's always something with respect to TO.

Irvin is a TO apologist. Jackson is not.

And I've noticed that Irvin tried to temper his defense of TO after the latest "OD" incident. He knows Jackson is right.

With TO it's always something. And unless you blame it all on the media, the media is not telling TO to say "I didn't pull the trigger."

You leave that for the arm-chair quarterbacks. You don't say that about your teammate when your history is that you've thrown other quarterbacks under the bus.

Maybe because it was the most hyped game this season and the Eagles DID make the plays.

The Eagles played like they wanted to win.
The Cowboys played like they didn't want to feed/offend/stir up the hate-TO crowd.

Jackson isn't right about anything with respect to TO. All he does is tow the standard media company line agenda. He wants to be right about TO blowing up. Just like the media wanted to be right that JJ and BP would blow up too.

People act like the media is this innocent little machine reporting "the facts" with absolutely no bias or opinion involved in what they say, especially when it comes to TO. That's laughable.

TO is right. What is non-factual concerning what he said about 'pulling the trigger'? Nothing. It's more factual than saying "one man can break a team" and have that obvious pot-shot never be reported by the media for what it was.

Yes, he is.

With TO it's ALWAYS something.

TO continues to open his mouth. He can't learn to say nothing.

The media are doing what they're paid to do. TO is paid to play football. He can discuss a play, but he doesn't have to respond to all the leading questions.

He's not three years old.

He allows himself to be "baited" because he has foot-in-mouth disease.

It IS always something with him. And that's largely because he created the image he now has to live with.

Jackson is INDEED correct.

Secondly, you guys need to understand what "commentators/columnists" do. You know. The people with their pictures in newspapers who give THEIR OPINIONS.

Or, the people who sit in television studios who give THEIR OPINIONS.

They're not suppose to just give the facts. They're suppose to give their INTERPRETATION of the facts. And interpretations can be right or wrong.

And let's be truthful, guys. Despite what we say about we HATE the media, most of us, if not all, read mock draft reports, scouting reports, pre-season predictions because people are giving their OPINIONS about whether a player/team/organization is going to be good, bad or average.

So let's drop this "the media are bias" argument as if we don't benefit from it. Most of us beam with pride when publications/television commentators had the Cowboys going to the Super Bowl.

It's a double-edged sword. People just don't like it when the sword slices their team/players and not their arch rival's team/players.

No he isn't.

With TO it's always something because the media makes it something. The media has ALL OF THE POWER - they decide what goes on television, in the papers and magazines.

As far as "the media is biased", YOU JUST proved my point. They're GIVING THEIR OPINIONS slanted towards their agenda.

They're NOT FACTS.

Maybe you should learn from your own statements.

Does Mike do the Playmaker piece anymore ... Like Tom Jackson does the Jacked up piece? If so, I always miss Mike's segment.
