take espn prognosticating for what it is worth, but atleast 1 cowboy still seems to like us.

in a round table discussion with Irvin, Deion, marshall faulk, and mariucci.
Irvin picked the Giants to win division, but dallas to go on and beat the chargers in the superbowl.

faulk picked the giants to meet the patriots again, deion somehow picked both the steelers and the titans to play the panthers, and mariucci picked the patriots to play the eagles..

interestingly enough, there 4 picks had 3 different NFCE teams included in the big game.

It seems some of the old players respect and remember the level of difficulty they once faced when they played as young players. Kudos to Irvin. At least he showed some couth when making his "analyzation". And he's not bitter about his party being over.

I agree with him, too. His analysis is much closer than Emmitt Hater Smith's.

He didn't actually pick them to win the Super Bowl.

He picked them to play in the Super Bowl.

Gotta love Irvin...and Jerry for that matter. Both are true optimists. To be honest, I'm the same way. Every season's eve, i think were gonna be great and tear up the league. This year is no exemption. I think we go 11-5. Yup i'm a homer. I just hope i don't get my heart broken this year.

I really believe this team will finish at 12-4 and lose the division title. I think we start strong and finish strong with a few close games that we lose in the end. We will win our first playoff game by a blowout as a wildcard team against the Seahawks.

INjuries will of course play a roll in all of our wins and losses. I can see losses to either Denver or KC, and two division losses(Eagles/Giants). I think the Giants get the nod on the division because they normally play well within the division. A 4-2 division record will win or create a tie breaker for the division. We should be focused on winning the division first. Everything else will fall in place.

Just my preditcion. Who knows what will happen!

Why not us? I have felt like there was something different about our Cowboys since the start of mini-camp. There just seems to be something wonderful brewing in Dallas.

Michael Irvin was always my favorite Cowboy because he was the heart and soul of the those great dynasty teams!

Amen. He was my favorite too. I despise the modern punk athlete, but Irvin more than offset his quirks with his play. He played with heart. Wanted to win more than anything. He worked as hard as anyone who has ever played the game. He elevated the play of his teammates and was always trying to fire everybody up. He ALWAYS had his QB's back. He was as clutch as any player in history. His postseason #'s are 2nd only to, arguably, the greatest player in the history of the game (I hate saying that, but Rice was 2nd to none).
He truly was the heart and soul of that dynasty.

A big part of why everyone loved the Eagles was their defense. With Jim Johnson and Dawkins (they leader) missing, I'm not clear why are the love still exists on the same level.

The Eagles defense won't be near as good as it has been.

I watched the whole thing and went  when he said that.

Then what in the heck DC was talking about?:laugh2:

BTW, Irvin's prediction works for me but predictions have never won a football game.
