A big part of why everyone loved the Eagles was their defense. With Jim Johnson and Dawkins (they leader) missing, I'm not clear why are the love still exists on the same level.

The Eagles defense won't be near as good as it has been.

The loss of Jim Johnson and Brian Dawkins -- the heart and soul of the defense that carried the Eagles to multiple NFC title games and a Super Bowl -- and the addition of Michael Vick -- whom the media believes paid his debt to society, and despite two years out of the league is still the 88th best player -- make the Eagles the team to beat.

Ummm...why don't you try watching it again and listen to the whole thing this time. He quite clearly says "And Dallas to come out on top in that game."

He didn't just pick us to get there he picked us to win it.

take espn prognosticating for what it is worth, but atleast 1 cowboy still seems to like us.

in a round table discussion with Irvin, Deion, marshall faulk, and mariucci.
Irvin picked the Giants to win division, but dallas to go on and beat the chargers in the superbowl.

faulk picked the giants to meet the patriots again, deion somehow picked both the steelers and the titans to play the panthers, and mariucci picked the patriots to play the eagles..

interestingly enough, there 4 picks had 3 different NFCE teams included in the big game.

He didn't pick the Titans and Steelers to play the Panthers. He said the Titans would play the Steelers in the Championship game (Meaning the AFC title game) and then go on to play the Panthers. And he picked the Steelers to win the Superbowl game.

At least of the people who've made predictions Irvin spent a little time at camp and can see where there has been changes perhaps improvements. Therefore his prediction has a bit of merit. Whereas others are just throwing darts in the dark

Michael Irvin was always my favorite Cowboy because he was the heart and soul of the those great dynasty teams!

He used me my most hated. Thats because he whipped us for years. I have to say he is one guy in this league who has really turned his life around. He doesn't ignore or omit his past or his past mistakes. MI is now one of the my most respected ex-players in this league and is a good influence to some of the younger's players and fans.

Gotta love Irvin...and Jerry for that matter. Both are true optimists. To be honest, I'm the same way. Every season's eve, i think were gonna be great and tear up the league. This year is no exemption. I think we go 11-5. Yup i'm a homer. I just hope i don't get my heart broken this year.
