According to what I've read, the grievance is over money owed to Jones for meeting playing time incentives in 2005 or 2006. Jones and his agent are trying to recoup that money, but it doesn't appear (or at least I can't find it) that an official grievance has been filed.
..that is expected as a leverage move from Pacman and his attorney to get the Titans to either pay the cash or cut him lose and move on if Pacman can find a team to go to.
I do remember Pacman saying something in the Irvin interview refering to having dropped a grievence with the NFL recently and it wasn't a point of contention anymore.
But nothing about one against the Titans.
And I can see the Titans not wanting to have to pay it, seeing how he's gotten himself suspended and the cost to the franchsie in Tennessee for having to deal with this whole mess and the loss on the field of his services.
There is actual and potential losses to the team he's incurred on them with his past actions.
But I think it's a wash at this point. And it's actually a grievence that needs to be addressed to the NFLPA and Pacman separately from any trade transaction.
