If he gets put on IR, he won't accrue one this year.

If this is the case then would that mean he would still be a restricted free agent ?

Kinda want to see him leave the team but at the same time I know with the cowboys luck he's gonna get picked up by a better organization and then become a pro-bowl player.

He has a high ankle sprain. It can be worse then a break. Gregory just had surgery 9 days ago. Geez!!!!! Injuries happen. Next man up.

Irving is a restricted free agent until he accrues another season. He has 3 now. You need 4 to be an unrestricted free agent.

That wouldn't be surprising in the least. High ankle sprains have a way of being stubborn about disappearing.

He might well be able to retain his place in the rotation when it heals but the draft might reveal another option.

I can readily picture him sitting at home goofing off and taking bong hits at a leisurely pace, just taking it easy.

So I guess both Irving and Gregory will be out for some time. They'd be great to have but it's not like Dallas isn't used to not having them. With Irving it's always something.
