Is anyone else thinking we'd be better off resting Murray?

We really haven't seen Randle and Dunbar carry the load, but don't you think they could put up over a hundred yards rushing combined?

There is a serious concern with Murray fumbling the ball as well as failing to protect Romo in pass blocking. There is also the benefiting of rest. He would be better prepared for the playoffs.

There will probably not be playoffs if we do not win Sunday.

No, all hands on deck for this one. I would have him on a short leash though if necessary.

I wouldn't be worried if he didn't play. But there's no way if I'm Murray I'm not going out there. He's got too much to lose by missing time to injury and letting other backs put up numbers with his OL.

Gotta play him if he can be effective. All hands on deck for the stretch run

I hope Murray can go but I think Randle and Dunbar can do the job. OL just needs to give them running lanes. Main thing continue to use the pass and run to keep the colts defense off balance.

We haven't done it this season. I don't want to find out now. It's a finger not a leg.

True but you hold the ball and his ability to secure the ball will be a big part of it, defense will be going after the ball a lot more knowing Murray has an issue with that hand.

And it's his left hand (carries with his right). If he wants to play, and Garrett is comfortable with him, he will play.

I can see why he would want to play. I just think we might have too much to lose in the turnover battle or an injured Tony Romo if he were to play. I have to wonder if Randle and Dunbar are our best option right now.

I'd sit him. Indy run D sucks. Randle and Dunbar and Williams are more than capable with our oline. He needs the rest. I think he will play though. But he won't get his usual amount of work. I expect him and randle to split carries.

He has to secure the ball with both hands. The left would be placed over the top off the ball and I have no doubt the Colts defense is going to be aggressive at stripping the ball.

This season is not a done deal. Dallas has to keep winning to keep the pressure on. 11-5 will not get it.

Win. With Murray or without.

But with all the giddiness of the youth movement here, they better block when the pass play is on. They better have patience like Murray does to wait until the blocking/holes develop.

This is about winning. Nothing else. Dez will have his hands full. Linehan needs to pull out all the stops to move Dez and get him favorable match-ups.

But this running game needs to milk the clock and get yards. Luck is the real deal.

So resting Murray is a great idea if you win. If you allow this to slip, that decision will be second guessed.

Just win.

He's going to have to suck it up, right? Guys play with injuries all the time. look at Romo and Witten. If Murray can't play because he hurt a finger (on his left hand) I would be really disappointed in him. We have all seen players play with much worse injuries than Murrays. This is the time of year to suck it up and go.

I remember see some stats that show the Colts defense allows the same number of rushing yards as the Cowboys. Which is middle of the pack in the league.

If it was all about pain sure you suck it up but it more than that. Emmitt was tough yet the same type of injury sidelined him as well. Bottom line can you control the ball, can you pick up the blitz you need your hands for that. This is not a matter of sucking it up. If he can show he is able to do the things he must do to perform the job then I expect him to play, if not then he won't. I have no doubts about Murray desire to play

He also has to carry the ball in his left hand on runs to his left, be able to catch passes with both hands, and use his left hand to ward off defenders. He uses his left hand a lot. On top of all that, if he requires a shot to deaden the pain, he would not know if he further injures the hand since he couldn't feel any pain. Whatever decision they make, it'll be the right one.

Romo tried to suck it up vs Eagles (Thanksgiving) and while that is valiant on his part fact is his movement was sluggish, rotation of the body on his passes was not there and his play was poor because of it. The will to play I have no doubts about it comes down can you do what is required to be able to perform. I love Murray, I hope he can play but if he can't then I do have faith in Randle and Dunbar to go in and help Dallas maintain balance and produce.

I'm just old school. Unless his hand is falling off and how important each and every game is I expect my starters to play.
I have no doubt that Murray will play. I think the fans are making much more out of this than any thing else.
