6' 240 and runs a 40 in the 4.6's...Former top high school recruit who eventually went on to be the Big 12 defensive player of the year and a 2nd round pick. Now, for whatever reason, he doesn't even dress for Baltimore and he is believed to be on the block. So anybody think its worth it throw a 4th or 5th at Baltimore to get another young and talented linebacker? I don't remember what kind of fan fare he had here come draft time but he sounds like a good candidate for our SAM next to Ro and Lee

Maybe a 6th but not a 4th... What's his story? Why can't he get on the field?

Not positive but I'm fairly sure that K State runs a 4-3 while Baltimore drafted him to be a 3-4 ILB. I'm not going to pretend that I have any info as to why Brown isn't playing, but I'd imagine that has to at least be part of the problem.

It's always concerning when a LB has issues playing special teams which is apparently part of the reason that he's been inactive. ST is about will power and effort and LBs are a good fit at many of the ST positions. If he does put in the effort to play ST, then that's not a good sign on his mental makeup.

Brown seems a bit like Toomer who the Cowboys just cut.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the talent level between Toomer and Brown is just a little bit different though...and has he refused to play special teams or is he just not good at it? If he is declining to play special teams for what ever reason it would be a red flag, but if he's just not as good on ST as Baltimores other LB's I wouldn't say that's a huge deal. Sometimes guys just need a scheme switch. Not every LB is a good fit for 3-4 ILB.

Depends on what we ultimately decide to do with Carter I think. If we decide not to resign, then Brown might be a nice option. If we decide to resign him, then I don't know if it makes sense to bring in Brown. He may not be the best option for us, I don't know.

Cowboys gave Arthur Brown a high 3rd round grade. (45th overall - 3rd LB behind Minter and Te'o who had 2nd round grades)

I watched Brown and his brother play in high school as they are from my home town. While I don't know alot about either personally I have always felt Bryce has turned out to be exactly what most people thought but Arthur was one of those great college players who would struggle at the pro level. Also being a big K-St fan I watched him throughout his Wildcat days and at no point did I think to myself "Man I hope the Cowboys draft him" because I just didn't see it. Once he went to the NFL I've seen very few games he has played so I don't really have an opinion about his tenure at the pro level. But given our current LB corp I'm not sure how he would upgrade what we already have. I'm against trading for anyone but if we do I would hope it would be a pass rushing DE or ball hawk safety.
