1. He had to finish the season with his 3rd string running back.
2. He had to deal with an aging egomaniac at WR
3. He had a turnover machine at QB and that was the good part of the season, he had a corpse for 4 games.
4. He was forced to incorporate a WR who did not know the playbook, had no training camp.
5. He lost a valuable offensive lineman and had no one even close to replace him.
6.He had to face the top defenses in the league.
7.His starting tight end played hurt half the season.
So yeah, I guess it was all Red's fault.

Can't read anything into it. And no self-respecting person would prevent someone from a promotion.

lcharles;2559902 said:Jason Witten Played with BROKEN RIBS, that is not an excuse that is a FACT.
Choice was not only 3rd string, but a rookie as well, and while he did preform very well, I just can't see Garrett placing the same amount of trust and confidence in him that he had for Barber. That takes time to establish.
Facing tough defenses might sound like an excuse, but it's a fact he faced The Steelers in bad weather conditions, faced the Ravens who were motivated by the fact our gloryious owner "hand picked them" to close out Texas Stadium, kind of like picking your homecoming opponent.
We faced the Eagles after the news that they WERE playing for something at home, so yeah, I do think that made it harder for our offense.
