Is Crawford now a permanent DE? Draft a DT in 1st?

Maybe do a trade down to 7-10 something like that, we draft Rankins, T.Crawford starts at LDE. We start whoever at the other end, a rookie the Raiders FA guy and then let whoever between Gregory or Lawrence who won't be out of the NFL in two years be the starter at RDE or in 2 years be a backup.

Is this a legit plan? I always liked Crawford at DE, a bit scary hoping he can stay healthy, but still same issue at DT.

I agree wholeheartedly I would make them very contingent on incentive deals, Easley would be a tricky one so we would be able to cut him if there were problems.

I think that is an excellent idea. Heck, I'd throw in Hardy too if he would sign a very cap friendly deal.

Good question at this point. I wouldn't say permanent but he can play for awhile as a stop gap until a better solution is found.
