lol, very true. Also, Dak has come out and said that he wants his legacy to be a QB that wins the SB. That is what he says he wants.

No where have I heard him say he wants his legacy to be a QB that wins the MVP.

I don't recall seeing anyone saying it's "no big deal." What I AM saying is that improving from stinkin out loud to playing some good football does not warrant elevation to MVP status. Put it this way.. if Dak had been playing the level where the defense was the first 9 games would anyone be calling him an MVP candidate if he just went from that to putting up 200 yards passing and maybe 1 TD while completing like 60% of his passes? I think we already know the answer to that question.

Even after these last three games the defense still has not climbed out of the 30s and upper 20s in most rankings. If you took these last three games where they have given up an average of 21.67 ppg and 312 yards per game they would rank 12th and 11th, respectively, if extrapolated out to 12 games. Good but hardly MVP worthy. Meanwhile we don't have to extrapolate what Dak and the offense are doing. They have been top 2 or 3 all season and continue to do so. THAT's why what the defense is doing does not trump what Dak and the offense have been doing all season. Would anybody be giving Dak any MVP votes if he was outside the top 10 in all major passing categories? Again.. we already know the answer to that question.

Playing well....even leading the league in yards...does NOT make you an automatic MVP.

I'm a bit surprised your all in with it.

Dak has a lot to do with our team and it's hopeful success. But if it does happen, the first half and sceond half of the season should make it clear who the real MVP(s) are.

The most valuable to the team.

It's not the same, but you are clearly choosing the QB over the team. As you said, "IF DAK KEEPS UP HIS LEVEL OF PLAY..."

Why is that an "if"? Not one for Burrow. Not one for Mahomes. Not one for Josh Allen. Hmmm...Dak makes more than all of them...and all of them have 5x the number of playoff wins. THEY deserve that money...because they can make up for the deficit.

Stafford and Maye are #1 and #2 in overall rating. Stafford is #1 in touchdown passes. So the list is actually not a "joke" and "full of poop" just because it's not to your satisfaction. When also considering that Dak is throwing to the elite Lamb and Pickens, and Stafford is throwing to the elite Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, it almost further fortifies Maye being near or atop the list of MVP favorites considering that he's doing it with a fleet of little-known or over-the-hill pass-catchers.

Lamb has been injured for half of the season, so it's not like Dak has had both receivers as weapons at the same time. Plus, those other 2 QBs you mentioned (Stafford and Maye) have had top 5 defenses all year long that help out their offenses, unlike Dak and the Cowboys. So, let's be fair when comparing apples to apples. If not, you end up looking foolish. Dak has had to carry his team. Those other 2 QBs have had a team to help carry them.
