When will teams eventually be like, "I don't give ** what last year's QB got, I'm not paying you $100 million a year" and stop this nonsense?

It won't happen.
As much as we want this, this will never happen. Some team will swoop in and pay. Hell, look what Tannehill got.

Even if the majority of teams balked at QB's demands, desperate teams would run for the opportunity to sign a Dak... ergo, were ****ed and must sign these large contracts.

Ain't nobody taking Dak from us.

Also, players get half of the revenue from the league, so the money must be spent. And it's a **** ton of money. And that revenue stream grows every year, as do the contracts.

Amen. Its just getting completely out of control. Where is the incentive to win or connect with fans.

Why should they?

These guys are one hit away from ruining their lives. They worked their butt off to get to this place, let them get paid and set their families up.

I work for a major financial institution...if a competitor wanted to pay me 20% more, I would be gone.

3 years from now? Probably, probably more. Let's let it play out first..

With the new deal Derek Carr just signed....he has set the new bar for QBs.

Question I have is...Is Prescott worth that kind of money?

Because you know if he has anything close to a season like he did last season...He's gonna want that kind of money....And probably sit out until he gets it.

IMO a deal like that....would be worse than the Tony Romo deal...And look at that debacle. A team on an up swing...and we can't do nothing in free agency to get us over the top...and let key people walk in free agency...because we just didn't have the money.

Comments?

I don't think Dak is the kind of character to sit out and throw a baby fit over money. He will know and prove it when he is worth it.

As far as these inflation contracts, they are crazy. I always think about that. What are contracts going to be like in, say, 2050? 5 year 800 million dollar for a QB? lol
