Is Darren McFadden a good enough running back with a healthy Tony Romo and healthy Dez Bryant?

Would people feel comfortable going into the season with him, Turbin, and Dunbar if we allocated our resources on offense towards a high caliber 2nd receiver instead of drafting or signing any running backs?

How the off-season would look:

Team re-signs Dunbar and Turbin, but does not re-sign Hardy, Claiborne, or Hanna. It cuts Free and Carr.

Either Green or Collins starts at right tackle, while either Collins or Leary starts at left guard. Swaim becomes the #2 tight end until Escobar returns.

Team goes after Jeffery or Gordon in free agency at WR and Norman if he is not franchised at CB and maybe Weddle or Berry.

Team drafts pretty much all defense in the draft, especially in the secondary.

No. I want a bell cow. DMC will get you some yards but, when it's 3rd & short, he will find the nearest olineman's butt and wait for someone to touch him so he can then fall down. We need that bell cow. It fits into our basic offensive scheme.

No, I would not feel comfortable. Going into next season without a strong candidate to compete with McFadden for the starter position would be irresponsible. Predictable, knowing Jerry, but irresponsible.

Not sure how we feared Murray long term...but would roll with DMC in what will probably be Romo's last chance

I think Dunbar helps alleviate some fears and I'd rather focus on getting some WR help and improving this defense, than try to upgrade at running back slightly.

No. He's a good 3rd down back. We need someone better to be the feature back. Whoever this guy could be had in the middle rounds of the draft.

I think Mcfadden is good enough but I still want to add another back. Maybe a 4th rd pick type.

For what DMC had to contend with in terms of defenses he did quite well. However he needs help. A bruiser might help or better play designs and better play calling.

Upgrading the running back postion is needed. That would be a terrible mistake if the GM and Coach are okay with McFadden.

Dunbar doesn't scare anybody . He is a RB with a couple plays designed for him to get free, but he can not be depended on to carry very much of the load if any at all .

I think the team needs to spread out more on short yardage next year. Having some help on the outsides might help open running lanes more than having a "bell cow".

Agreed. I was pleasantly surprised with his performance this year. Spreading out and an actual threat at qb will do wonders imo. Besides I'm not that excited about this year's prospects. Rather wait for 2017 which will be way stronger for rbs imo.

I want Henry in the 2nd round - so no. Henry, Turbin, and Dunbar would be better than what we had this year, collectively.
