Is DeForest Buckner a DE or DT for us?

This article says he's one of 2 DLinemen we've brought in 3 times. Is he the next Jason Hatcher? 3-4 DE to be a monster 4-3 DT?

I can't see Marinelli bumping Crawford so maybe these two could play together inside. Then there's a problem with Cedric Thornton who was also brought in for that role.

There has to be a role for him somewhere or they wouldn't pay that much attention to him.

The buzz around him his awfully quiet lately. Hmmmm. If I had to put money on it, if Ramsey is off the board, Buckner will be the pick. And the board will crash.

Ewe already have Buckner in Irving IMO. Almost the same player but Irving has just scratched the service IMO.

Good player, not worth #4. Can see the team loving him though

Base LE who kicks inside to rush on 3rd downs. He's absolutely in play at 4 IMO, team has done a ton of work on him and he's easily got the highest ceiling of any of the defensive lineman in the class.

Agreed he plays too high to be an every down DT. He is best suited at DE. Also I prefer Bosa.

I was big on buckner. But after watching some tape he just doesn't seem to show up all the time. I think bosa is a better player. That drug issue though will haunt us even more now bc of dlaw.

Buckner >> Bosa. I'm actually starting to warm up to the idea of Buckner IF Ramsey is gone and there are no trade back options.

You can play 4 DT's
Keep them fresh and hungry
Buckner would be better inside where he would be quicker than guards or center. On the edge Bosa would be a better option

For the record, I prefer Buckner over Bozo by a mile inside and out - his ceiling is the best in the Draft.
