Is Eberflus the future of our D or even team?

I don't want Garrett fired because I'm convinced he's a bad coach. I want him gone because the owner is too comfortable with him.

I only want him gone if he isnt replaced by Garrett or Campo 2.0 which I'm afraid will be the case. Otherwise why bother.

Tom Brady got injured and Belicheck took his team to the playoffs with Cassel at QB. Brady was hurt in the first or second game. Romo got hurt before the season so JG has time to prepare.

small quibble, NE went 11-5 with Cassel but amazingly it wasn't enough to qualify for the playoffs

No kidding, I thought they did make the playoffs with Cassel. Good call. I stand corrected. Lol, maybe I'll start researching stuff before I say it. Meh, I'll just go on raw emotion. I'm just playing but thanks for the head's up.

I only remember because I was so surprised they didn't make it to the playoffs that year. They've had a Landry like run under Belichik/Brady, easy to assume they were in the playoffs when they've only missed them twice since 2001 which is depressingly the same number of playoff wins for the Cowboys in the same time period:

He's the only youngish coach to hang around and get promoted and get praised a lot since the dawn of the teens (2010-x) etc .. Teams apparently have tried to hire Eberflus away and he gets raises and stays here.

He had has a hard enough time coaching our linebacker talent such as it is.. I wonder if Eberflus has coached them up above their talent ..

DBs coach Jerome Henderson was pushed out I think - he's with Falcons now .. Joe Baker promoted, Greg Jackson hired as safeties coach ..

Eberflus as I remember wanted Hitchens drafted, good call for a 4th rounder, and then Damien Wilson he pushed for too ..

Rob Ryan said he was the best coach he ever worked with, called him the "Demarcus Ware of coaches" . that is kind of a puzzling analogy ,. I'm guessing Eberflus is in his late 30s or 40s.

We've got a lot of older coaches and Eberflus represents the new wave ha ha.

I wonder if Eberflus is the new Zimmer .. etc. etc.

And I wonder if Tony looks stiff because the last year or so he was wearing corsets, kevlar vests, all kinds of stuff to protect him .. or if he is just getting stiff and slow ..

(Of course I have to throw Tony opinions because I don't want to post them on page 60 of the only Tony thread allowed ha ha I want everyone to see them (sorry mods ha ha ...)

Eberflus is so overrated in Dallas. Very wary when Rob Ryan is one pumping sunshine because the guy practically invented puffery.

Would rather bring in Kenny Norton for DC, but Raiders beat us to him. Nuts how Jerry has ignored some of the best young coaches who were ex Cowboys: Dennis Thurman, Ray Horton, Ken Norton, etc.

Couch Coach started calling him Booger the second that the Jerry nosepicking pic hit the net and has since then.

The fact that Hitchens is serviceable reflects well on Eberflus. Dude wasn't even projected to be drafted and people rightfully expected nothing from the guy but Eberflus gets something out of him as a rookie.

Sometimes fans seem to expect guys to improve every year and blame the coaches for not, "developing," a player when they don't. But Hitch is what he is. He was never going to be a pro bowler. He's Kyle Wilber 2.0.

Nzeocha showed a little before going down again. Can't blame Eberflus for injured players. He got more out of RoMac than any of RoMac's other NFL coaches.

For any defense to work, you need a line that consistently gets pressure. We've not had enough talent on the line to do that and ANY defense implemented will suck until we do.

How do you know that he doesn't? A lot of coaches prefer to handle things behind closed doors where there aren't media present.
