If so, what do we need to spend to keep him on the roster. I have this feeling he's like Bradie James and the light's turning on late for him.

I really like how he can play both guard and center. If we lose him it hurts our o-line depth...

he is a nice swing man and will not get any big offers. he will not likley ever be a real stud player. you tend to improve as you get use to the speed of the game but nothing can make you smarter and he is just not all that bright. he played fairly well against the panthers but has not shown any ability to do it over a long time. he had some good games last year but a game or two is fine for a backup, starters have to be more dependable

Are you serious? I'm not saying Gurode is the second coming on anything, but let's be realistic. To say the guys isn't "smart" enough to play C or G is bogus IMO. The guys made his share of mistakes and definitly has alot more to learn, but the fact that BP has kept him in the rotation at C leads me to believe that Parcell's thinks he's smart enough to play the position.

Now if he's a UFA next year and wants a ton of money - then let him go. But I'm for keeping him around as a swing player for a reasonable salary. Also, IMO I believe the run game is better with Gurode in vs. Al. He also did a pretty good job at G this week for Rivera.

Gurode is supposedly one of the smartest guys on the team. He's not "stupid". You can be intelligent and still make mistakes on the field.

I like Gurode. He's capable of starting a few games and not getting you killed. I would like to see him retained... not for a huge salary but I'm sick to death of seeing players go off to other teams and perform well.

Yes, he is a free agent after the year. I'd like to keep him for a reasonable salary. I'd like to have versatile depth with starting experience.

you can be very intelegent and not be football smart.i would love to have him back, and i think we will cause he plays center and guard. but i don't see him as a future starter.he makes to many mental errors.some body has to be the backup and he is perfect for that but i would'nt be depending on him to replace rivera.
