Is it any wonder Cowboy fans hate ESPN

Watching the first 10 minutes of thier show it seems like the Cowboys do not stand a chance in winning games, going to the playoffs and much less going to the Super Bowl.
And why?
TO.
It's all TO's fault and TO is too big a distraction to the team.
They just keep insisting that TO will cause division within the team.
The media will make sure it is if TO does not!

Yeah, I just had to change the channel. I would love for nothing more than the cowboys to win the super bowl just to see ESPN all the sudden be in love with TO and kiss the Cowboys nuts.

No kidding! I was just about to come here and start the same thread. I mean, come on! They are basically blaming TO for the whole thing, when it's really WFAA/The Dallas Morning News that is at fault. It's not like this is the first time that Belo group has started a BS story.

Even if T.O. had a pro bowl season and we won the SB, bet your bottom dollar that ESPN would say we won despite of him.

Instead of acknowledgeing that it was typical media overreation, the events of this week are all Owens' fault. Yeah, he asked for his unfortunate incident to be overblown. I though Irvin would at least have the organizations back but he must've been forced to go with the company line.

They just went to commercial asking Merriman or Lewis who is the best linebacker in the NFL. Are you kidding me? How about neither.

I'm not taking up for ESPN but they have a history and point to guide themselves with. The hammy injury was questionable, the hand couldn't be helped and the "OD" was stupid.
Point being Owens stays in the news, and it's not for play on the field ........yet.

We'll find out today if TO is a distraction. Really that simple, IMO.

His hamstring injury is questionable???
What about Steve Smith or Hines Ward???
Both of those player missed more time because of hamstring injuries than TO did.
They pile on the guy to get ratings???
It's lazy reporting!
Ed Werder shows up only when something about TO happens.
It's his job to sensationalize everything TO!
Give me break I give no benefit of the doubt to ESPN on anything about TO anymore.
They are lazy, lazy reporters when it comes to TO.
They take the easy way out.
I don't call that real reporting.

You're completely lost. What was questionable about a pulled hamstring and how did he know he would have a allergic reaction to the meds given to him. Sounds like you're believing all the media hype and garbage...

This type of stuff is what Owens brings on himself. Because he's a Cowboy doesn't change that fact. S. Smith doesn't carry the rapp that Owens does, neither does Ward. With Owens this is what you get and should be expected.
Yeah, I'm on the played up hammy injury side.I'ts my right.:)

I think it will answer the question for this week only though. It should be an affirmative answer too, because what happened this week wasn't really his fault, and doesn't (or shouldn't) put any extra pressure on the team or make it harder to win.

I'm more interested in whether he can say the right things during the next week going into Philly. I think he will.

I never said he tried to kill himself, it was an OD just the same. What would you call it? You take to many pills you od. He said himself that he could have done that.

I just do not believe everything I read or hear from the media about Owens.
The media has an agenda and I thought what happened in Philly last year was hilarious but I have not seen TO being a distraction here.
That's my point.
If you do not trust Owens will then that is your right to do so. I feel the same.
But I do not see proof of any of the crap that is being reported.

Yes I did also. Usually watch Cowboys Huddle and their local pre-game shows anyway. But tuned in to see what kind of garbage they were trashing out. Surprised what little bit I seen, Irvin didn't defend him. Maybe they told him not too.

Did anyone watch it all, did Micheal say anything.

he basically said that it is a distraction to the team. i was suprised by his comments considering all the distractions he caused back in the day. It didn't sound like him though. Sounds like the company line.

Coming up: The Cowboys players and coaches: see what they're saying about the "TO situation."

I wonder how they'll spin this.

Newman: "I'm riding with T.O."

Witten: "It's not his fault."

James: "We're not going through anything."

I got the message already.
