It would really shock me if Cromartie dropped far enough for us to pick him. With all the hype and attention surrounding him, let alone his name, I just can't see him being within our reach.

1 FS and 1 SS in the draft?

The way I see it, it's no lock that Hamlin will be re-signed. If not, we need a starting calibre FS next season. Maybe Watkins/Brown is that guy. But IF not, it may not be a bad idea to draft the successor to Hamlin this year.

Also, we may need some depth at SS now that KD is gone. This could be late draft pick.

Finally, I think we need at least 1 top quality CB from this draft, regardless of whether we sign PacMan or not. TNew may not be extended end of this season, and we don't know if PacMan will be reliable enough (assuming we sign him).

Now, if we do end up signing PacMan, maybe we only take 1 CB (hopefully early in the draft). But if we DON'T sign PacMan, I'd seriously consider taking 2 CBs this draft.

We would still have the draft picks to pick up a WR, RB, plus 2 additional draft picks to fill other needs/wants.

I have no problem taking 2 CB's. On high, one mid rounds. Not only is Hamlin not a lock for 2009, neither is Newman. And Henry always seems to have injury problems, plus there have been discussions between Henry and the team in the past about a move to FS, so we need to make sure we are covered at CB down the road as well as now.
