Seems like every game recently has been either:

1- We start off strong, looks like it’s going to be a blowout and they come back late and either we win or lose a close one.

Or

2- We look weak and defeated then come back to make it close in the end.

So really, what’s the point of getting too excited or too down during the first half?

If I were you and felt as sure as you do that things won't go any better against a team like the 49ers, I wouldn't tune in until the 2nd half. However, if you're anything like I am or how most of us are, you won't be able to resist watching the whole game. Are you really going to limit yourself to doing that? I'm thinking you'll watch the whole game, regardless . . . how do you respond to that? Be totally honest now, OK? ;)

Of course I will, however if we are up by 21 at halftime I won’t be puffing my chest out...

LOL -- thanks for your honesty, brotha! Evidently, you're not quite as convinced as you originally sounded that our Cowboys are doomed to continue performing as you'd have us believe. Like that crazy dude in "Dumb and Dumber" said, "so, you're saying there's a chance, huh?"

The last game, I knew it was pointless watching the game after we gave the ball back to Rodgers at the end (I just listened to the TV in the background since I knew exactly what was going to happen). STUPID, STUPID Cowboys...I would have taken my chances at driving the ball in from the 1 ft line after running down the clock.

I do this with NBA games. However, my interest level in the NBA dropped a bit even when my team was a superteam.

I always watch the whole game, but I never get excited and hoot n holler for every good play like I used to. NBA is same way, your team can go up 20 1st half and its almost guaranteed that even the worst teams will go on a run to get back to within striking distance...
