Is It pointless to watch anything but the 4th qtr?

Seems like every game recently has been either:

1- We start off strong, looks like it’s going to be a blowout and they come back late and either we win or lose a close one.

Or

2- We look weak and defeated then come back to make it close in the end.

So really, what’s the point of getting too excited or too down during the first half?

I've had similar thoughts, it seems like the whole league is like this now. I never watch basketball until the last 2 minutes, you could say something similar about the NFL and only watch the 4th quarter
